Thread: I'm not a noob, but i feel like one sometimes. could someone help me with my template problems?

Ok I could really use some help.I've been playing since Launch and I've been master TK for a couple months now. And I do love it so. I'm not here to complain about what we should/shouldn't be able to do/have, I just want to know the best way to use what I've got. I fear no creatures in the galaxy (never fought a krayt or kimo tho so ...) And very few NPC's give me any trouble. But of course you vets already know this. First let me show you my template so you'll have an idea of my current standing.
TKM
doc 0,4,4,0 (for self buffs. Will drop when i figure out where to put the SP)
master medic (course)
scout 3,0,4,0 (for terrain neg. and capitalizing on the insane resource prices)
unarmed 4 (course)
and 1H 3
oki typically run a looping combat macro cuz it saves me the confusion of which button to hit
usually (i have a couple i use ) it looks a little like this
/intimidate 1;
/warcry;
/unarmedknockdown2;
/unarmedstun1;
/unarmedblind1;
/unarmedHit3;
/unarmedcombo1;
/unarmedHit3;
/unarmedHit3;
/unarmedHit3;
/unarmedknockdown2;
/stand; (case i'm on my back)
/loot; (saves me from forgetting)
/harvest meat; (obvious)
/intimidate1;
/unarmedStun1;
/unarmedHit3;
/unarmedHit3;
/unarmedHit3;
/unarmedHit3;
.....etc. etc. etc.

I use a couple variations of this type of macro for PvE and PvP (minus the loot and harvest commands)
I KNOW there are flaws in it. I just cant seem to figure out how to balance it out. Or what I need to focus on. I just dont know how to REALLY use the gifts I have.
Also I am completely open to template suggestions. The only skill i am hell bent on keeping is tkm. So feell free to offer me any insight you have. Just tell me why its a good one.
I know alot of you will read this and not want to bother. But I would really appreciate it beyond belief. I Bow to your experience and wisdom.

You have a good template, sometimes alls it takes is a little practice. I don't think the PVP marco is a good thing though, locks you into something you might not wanna do. I don't think you can make a macro that will do everything you need to in a battle. A macro to help stats is always a good idea. Loop it often, unless you can't stand the spam.
Otherwise you have to approach every battle differently. And i don't think you can make a macro that smart. If you could i'd be a Jedi master all done via marco.. and who want's that....
Although i do notice that you don't have enough states in you macro. You need to make sure they are intimidated, dizzy, stuned, and blind. One of the best things TKA has is states.

thanx for that insight. It did shed some light for me as far as macros go... i just dont seem to have enough hotkeys in my taskbar lol. I will give that a try. So, i should maybe have a short macro to pop the states and keep me from giving out to many ffree shots, but flow with the battle after that..right?

I agree with the above poster, Macro aren't good for PvP in any Prof. My experience in TKA is that your states + your accuracy are your best offence. If you can keep your enemy Stunned/intim/dizzy/KD you have the best chance of winning, but as had been said practice helps no end.
Since you can self buff I would get some cheap buffs, buff yourself and throw yourself into PvP and keep testing combos till your fin what works best.

I guess i could see this as an afk macro, but why would you use something like this while atk. Do you really enjoy watching the game play itself?

Im a Tkm /doc have been teras kasi for around 7 months now and its only really been my only offence.
first off dump the macro for pvp ur gonna die simple as that no one battle is the same as another.
I noticed u didnt have lunge in there ? a dizzy and lunge will do same as kd2 but generally people have lower posture change defence .Therefore its more likely to suceed . as a rule of the thumb always go for the lowest pool (usually the mind .) if u can take them down fast or get em on the floor so they cant heal u can go for health and action either through ua3 or uac2 (note unarmed combo 2 pretty much bypasses dodge defences but with lower damage than ua3 so only use against unbuffed targets ie cocky fencers who arent wearing armour and they will be dead in seconds.)
Get a deathblow button command is /deathblow . when they are getting low and u are gonna incap them ,u want to start hitting it a few times to make sure they cant fow as alot of people these days pickup 4000 of teras kasi (i call these people scum but thats a different story ).Pvper with tkm is sometimes a story of outlasting your enemy usally people panic and take muon too fast so sometimes be prepared for a 10 minute battle . (Note i once had a 47 minute battle with another pvp on my server for those farstar people reading it was ilion ) .
Intim is your total friend this will save ur butt sooo much its unbelivable.
in regards to your template if u dont want doc no more, pick up 0040 of pistoleer defence this will give u added kd posture defence and most of all ranged migitation (reduces damage from ranged weapons firing at you )
