Two words: Sour Grapes.

If everybody worried more about improving their own profession instead of nerfing someone else's and we all just supported one another's professions, boy this would be a better community. I bet we'd get a hell of a lot more done with the developers, too.

Back to the original poster:

I just reached Novice TKA a week or two ago and got all my level 1 boxes as well. Haven't had much time to play since (hopefully this weekend), but Iwas really enjoying it. Fun profession to play. Animations are great. Glad you're having a good time.

Cheers!

In light of CM's and Professions with heafty DOT weapons I'd say TK is no where near overpowered. Yea, in PVE it rocks.......untill you realize that most high end mob's have high kinetic resists, sometime even invulnerable (Peko Albatross, NS Elder,.......) I have this sneaking suspicion that the nerf bat will swing hard onto TK's when the combat revamp rolls around. Atleast then people like you will cry about someone else and finally leave us alone.

We are not overpowered. Not even close. Im a master TK and I roll with a master swordsman all the time, and he is usually outdamaging me, lol. We are far from uber in pvp too, so I'd really like to know where you get this idea that we are overpowered. This has to be the most fun I've had in a proffesion, and it seems like its the only truely balanced proffesion in the game. Just my take on the subject.

Yep, did it a while ago, its a profression you crave every single box, cause

you feel stronger with each one. Not like Pikeman.

Actually, I'd say TK is one of the most balanced professions. They have a lot of offensive capabilites coupled with the ability to not only dish out melee damage but also take it. Their weakness is in state defenses and vulnerability to ranged attacks. Also, their damage type is easily blockable with 80% comp or 70% ubese.

I love TKM. The day I got meditation IV... I can't imagine life without it now.

It is very balanced. Nowhere near the damage of a swordsman or rifleman, nor the defenses and weak hit of the fencer. Just that sweet spot in the middle.
