hi guys,

long time tka here, i actually just started another trandosian tka and noticed a HUGE difference in performance. obviuosly b/c of the natural race attrib's, my other tka is humie, i've noticed only 1 weakness in the trandosian andthat is mind. so i guess the first q is race... which would be better with mtka, msword, mfencer trand or humie? is the mind of the trandosian too low to deal with or what?

also with this combo am i just going to waste the melee and ranged def b/c of the stacking cap? or should i just mtka, msword, mbrawler or go back to my original mtka, mbrawler , ooo4 pike, o4o4 fencer, oo4o pike? never really understood the stacking cap to be honest or noticed it for that matter when my char was stacked so.....what do the guru's think?

btw... can dodge and block be used in pvp?

I would say TK, because like you stated, trando's get great bonuses for unarmed combat. Melee defenses don't stack, so you'll probably be better off with a ranged profession that will allow you to get bonuses to melee and ranged defense. If you're going to be a stacker, I'll always recommend master brawler (warcry2, intimidate2, lunge2) For pure damage output, it's swordsman. For applying states, it's Teras Kasi, for DOT's it's pikeman, and dodge its fencer(as well as a stun baton).

Erm, defenses do stack, they allways have.

ok so mind is ok i guess hehe just used to humie stats. but i am always buffed and i mostly pve but pvp a couple times a week. ok here bottom line, which one out of the 6.

trandosian or human always buffed with brandy...

if you are going to pvp in even the least bit of a respectable fashion, you will need medic skills at a minimum, and i actually recommend at least 2010 doc. for pve TKM/MS/MB is pretty solid.

Trandoshans have pretty good mind stats actually. We get 500 max focus and 600 max willpower, better than a rodian (500 and 550) or a twi'lek (500 and 500). Our mind pool can go up to 1000 which is as good as a zabrak or rodian.

What we suck at is action. The only species with an action pool as low as us is Mon Calamari. Our secondaries cap out at 450 and 400, which is tied with a zabrak as the lowest among all species. And action is the most important pool to a TKA. Every single TKA move uses the same amount of mind and health cost, but has 50% more action cost.

The ONLY reason, and I mean the ONLY reason that TKAs ever worry about mind secondaries is because a doctor can't buff them. THAT'S IT. Other than that, our mind secondaries are of very little importance. The mind pool itself is important because of powerboost, but our mind doesn't go down nearly as much as action when using specials.

Hi,

I think you might like to cross TKM with Rifleman.

A bad part of this combination is that you won't get more status bonus. But you will receive good def. (High Ranged and Good Melee on Top of your TKM stats)

Also, I think being Def stacker won't help you much. TKM/MF/MS doesn't seem to work much better than TKM/MB. What you need is variation in attack types and Heavy AP Energy/Med AP Acid are good things to have around.

In addition, you will want a good area damage prof. If you have been in Geo-Caves, you will realize the heavy disadvantage with TKA prof. TKA does not have good area damage and once you get surrounded by fast spawning mobs, you are stuck. (But TKA won't die! We R TOUGH!)

This is my own personal temp: TKM, master fencer, master brawler, pike 0040, currently dabbling the rest in scout but subject to change. I tried the low lvl medic in PvP and what a waste of pts. Unless you have a medicine use of 30+, you won't be able to use the high lvl B stims. If you can't use those, an A stim won't make a dent in your buff stats. Unbuffed it works ok, but who runs around unbuffed in PvP anyway? If you go medic, make sure you get the 3rd lvl of the medicine usage tree to make it worth while, otherwise spend the stats elsewhere.

I went in the GeoCaves as a TKM/BHwith a group of 2 others, they died, so I tried my luck solo. I survived the whole buff session. When I went into the room that gives you the DXR-6 Geo Carbine Schem, I couldn't finish 2 enhanced klikniks quick enough, by the time I was halfway through the second, another would spawn, and shoot rockets at me hehe. Eventually the spawn stopped for 30 seconds and I got the schematic and ran.
