Thread: Could i get some advice on this template.

Hmmmmm.......... looks like a good template i say. Master tka is good for pve. But it only leaves you with one damage type. You can do pve with fencer but not as well as Swordsman. I'm not sure if you want a pve template or a pvp. It looks like you want a all around template. The fencer is good for some pvp. The pistols is something i like. I know why you are doing scout and i would have to disagree on that. this is what i would do, altering your template.


Master Fencer
Master Tka
Novice Medic
Pistoleer Defense line
Pistoleer Pistol Stances 1 (for pistol whip on kiting targets)
Smuggler Dirty Fighting 1 (for feign death, it is a life saver in pve and in pvp(make sure to unequip your armor in pvp when you use this tho or else your armor goes to crap)


That leaves you with one skill point left. I would take out the Master Fencer for Master Swordsman and use TKM for pvp(pve also but sword allows you to deal different damage types).

Just having that one box in scout makes some but not much a difference, especially when you can kd them or posture change them when they run.

5 star me if you like my advice.

i would replace smuggler 0010 with the scout thing so you can get feign death

I think its a very good, solid template. As stated - your weakness will be lack of power on high armour and lack of damage types. Fencer and TKA both lack big AP, and you really only have Kinetic and Stun. Otherwise, a very good template - especially for defence.

if you like defence stacking it looks good, also gives you the option to change damage type...

Looks nice I feel the pistol is way to boring for me to do But it def has nice bonuses for melee profs..

novice medic.

thinking about only using tkm even tho its only one dmg and just def stacking should be able to hold up against som stuff with. And I have found that most mobs anyway I cant kill in 30 mins as tk takes about the same time with swords so desnt really matter.

So I like the Changing scout for Novice Smuggler idea. I was also thinking of dropping pistols all together and picking up another melee defence tree so that i can save the points from novice marksmen and put them into medic? Do ranged mitigation 1 & 2 really do anything and could i get comparable defence from a profession other than Ranged/pistols ?

But dosen't the Pistol tree there give ranged mitigation? Thats priceless, especially in PvP.

It gives you ranged migitation 1 & 2.
Is ranged migitation Worth it ?

I mean, if i droped Pistols i would gain the 15 skill points it takes to get novice marksmen and put it towards medic and another melee defence tree.

In PvP, ranged mitigation makes a big difference, especially when facing Carbineers, and other large damage spread professions. The defence stacking leads me to believe you're doing PvP. I would drop the pistol tree with mitigation only to put it in Pharmacology and First Aid. Otherwise, I'd keep my mitigation.

Mitigation makes minimum damage practically a lot more important than maximum damage, forcing the enemy to usehigh min damage weapons - this puts professions such as Carbineers int rouble as Laser Rifle is AP, and it has a horrendous damage spread.

Ranged Mitigation 2 drops the opponent's weapon damage range by 40%.

Without it, a T-21 that does 150-500 damage does full damage.

With it, that same T-21 is only doing 150-360 damage to you.
