I am a rather new TKM and I've found my niche with most of the PvE mobs out there. There are some however that I have not successfully attempted solo, such as Nightsister Elders (those darn resists) and Krayts. I was wondering if anyone out there has soloed either of these mobs just using TKM skills and a little medic. And if you have, how did you do it? I LOVE being a TKM but I would like to be able to take some of these solo if possible. I don't want to have to reappropriate my skill points to be able to take on some of these mobs if I don't have to, so I am appealing to my TKM brethren to share some of their extensive knowledge and experience. Thanks in advance for any help provided and I look forward to trying out your advice.

I tank for krayt hunters all the time, and it isnt that difficult. I have heard of TKM's soloing krayts but it takes most of them over 1 hour lol. And it is virtually impossible for anyone (maybe excluding Jedi) to solo a NS elder now, with their Force powers.

swordsmen can solo elders with ease... it is jedi that have problems solo'n elders unfortunately. and yea tkm can tank things but because vks are light ap its better to get swordsmen or pikeman so you can get that medium ap for better damage.

TKM is the best tank hands down
Swordsman and Pikeman can also tank, and dish out more damage.. but of course not as well as a TKA

lol, trying to take out a NS elder with only TK skills is impossible because they have 100% resistence to the only damage type a TKM can distribute. as for tanking crayts, i wish someone can tell me how a TK do that because i die ievery single time i try lol

Unfortunately I learned about the NS ELder resists the hard way. I lasted a while, but I just wasn't doing any damage and I was starting to run out of stims...anyway, I'll probably have to take my swordsman buddy along for those. On the Krayts though, is there anything special that you do? Do you try and land any states (is that even possible on a Krayt?)? I'd like to try and at least solo one some time, even if it takes a while. Hopefully it won't take an hour, but even if it did, it would be worth it to do it at least once. Thanks for the info give so far, it is appreciated. Thanks in advance for anymore doled out.

Hehe yeah elders are a pain in the arse. I meet one hit her for 10 minutes and then i figured hmmmm there are actually no numbers at all coming off that woman. Examine. 100% kinetic, oh well bursty run away, find swoop next to swoop a mountain clan girl who seemed to hate my swoop so it was disabled
it took some time to get them mobs off my back.
As for krayts me and a friend tk took one out on the schyte mission, took a loooooooooooooooooong time but it died, probably nothing I will ever try to do again with only 2 ppl. we just used cob, intim as much as possible and took turns in healing.

Heh, I went Krayt hunting with some guildies last weekend, and two Giant Krayts spawned at the same time. Everybody died except me and another guy who stayed back and used ranged.I got KD/dizzy a few times, but was never in any danger because of the armor + toughness. Had some pretty nasty bleeds at one time though.
I can solo kimos, they are pretty easy but it just takes a while to bring them down. Rancors I can take as many at one time as I want, and it's not a problem. Could hunt rancor naked if I was really careful about it. Nightsisters... lesser ones I can take 3-5 at a time, but it gets close.Won't even try elders. Spiderclan elders are 80% kin resist, but do too much damage too fast for me to handle solo. I can solo most of the rest of them, but the higher ones I make a run for it if I get 2 or more on me at the same time. It's usually the bleeds that do the most damage to me, not the force powers.

I have been a TKM since i started this game last year ... to this day i have soloed 54 krayts with ease :@)
this is how you do it :@)
get a good buff which is above 2200 (prefer 2500) get a crate of canape and brandy ..._moun for emergencies a comp suit is a must with 80% kin resist and try to get it sliced ... and have some high powered stims (medic is a must with any pro)
ok find a krayt (could take awhile depending who is around ..time of day etc ) right once you find one take 2 shots of brandy and one canpe
and spam unarmed 3, the canape should stop from your mind getting too low or even going low atall
... make sure you keep this thing intimidated or it will damage you too much :@) i find warcry then intimidate normally works better.... after about 30mins sometimes less you will see the krayts armour falling slowly but then it will pick up speed and go down to about 30% kinectic this is where you will do alot of damage should take about 1 hour10-15minsin total
to some people this may take along time but hey your takeing down a krayt here and it aint suppose to be easy
oh and remember when your canape/brandy runs out pop another one
hint1~use knockdown every 2 mins, get a buff from a musician and dancer, and only use moun when your mind is at 200
hint2~ you know those crappy dots of a janta knife , these come in handy eg fire, poison, disease, once you use knockdown on the krayt switch to one of these then once it sticks switch back to your vk....plz note since the patch and changeing equip this can become annoying

It works. Been awhile now but I think I had it cut down to an 30 minutes.

Thanks for the great responses! Kra gave a very good rundown of how he takes down a Krayt and I had a couple of questions I wanted to throw out to everyone about it.
When using intimidate, I will only have intim1, not 2, since I do not have master brawler. I know the time it effects the mob is shorter, but is it still possible, or will I need intim2?
Can this work on all types of krayts? or just the regular ones?
Are Stim-Bs enough for medic skills? I currently have the ability to use stim C's, but if I have to get master brawler to take them down I'll have to drop my medic skill.
Thanks in advance, your help is greatly appreciated!!!

You should be fine with intimidate 1, but you'll have to spam it a lot more often which will, of course, drag the fight out even longer.
But yes, if you do things right and make proper use of food/spice/buffs you can tank pretty much anything in the game(that melees anyway. The Corvette is really bad for TKMs because of the lack of melee up there. Likewise, Lord Nyax is a real pain).
I've killed a few Giant Dune Kimos unbuffed before using just food, spice, and some low ham ubese. It took a long time, but was very doable.
As for krayts? Regulars shouldn't be a problem. Giants? You just want to deal with one and it will take you a long time to bring it down and it can get iffy depending on how long it takes.
I wouldn't bother with Ancients if you manage to find one though. Their HAM and resists are just too high coupled with the damage they dish out for a TKM to be able to realisticly solo one before their buffs ran out.
