i got the new starwars DVD trilogy, not impressed with certain things they have changed but INCREDIBLY impressed with a very good added scene. no spoilers here though
something i failed to notice in the trilogy was a teras kasi artist. now from what ive heared the teras kasi were pretty much nearly wiped out by the emporers jedi purge as teras kasi are force sensitive, i am very dissapointed that there wasn't a teras kasi because im sure i saw in another thread that there was in jabba's palace?
if there is a teras kasi can someone tell which of the movies/what scene its in?
but if its not in the movies isn'thaving hundreds of jedi running around more cannon than having hundreds of teras kasi around?

As far as I know Teras Kasi were never in the movies. And even then only mentioned in one of the EU books.

Yes it is!!!!! and this is what ive been trying to tell all these stupid TKs that come out with the "Jedi arent meant to exsist in this time period" stuff.. Sure I dont exsist but there are more of me than you in any of the films you can name.. therefore YOU are more rare than me... unlucky
Oh also far as i know (but i guess a memeber of TKO will know for sure, hint) TK didnt exsist until the RUBBISH game on the original Playstation. If my memory is right it was called StarWars: Masters of the Teras Kasi... and was a 3d beat 'em up featuring all the well known jedi and some made up guys.

Ok this is what i have read about tka, this is taken from some of the books (dontknow witch one) and it saids that the emperors guard are tka, and some of them are stronger then some jedi knights. Thats about all the info i could find about them, but maybe you could find something more if you can find any fanclubs on the net about sw.
Good luck might, and post it here aswell if you find any info about them, you made me curius

There is an excellent thread about the history of the TK here:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=teras_kasi_artist&message.id=25743
That thread should really be made a sticky! Unfortunately there is little mentioned of them outside of the EU book and I believe some of theRPG materials.

regardless of what is EU and what is Canon, there is a common collective unification of history of TK forming and it is fueled mainly by SWG there is a small collation of information here http://bria.teraskasi.net
TK was first referenced in 1996 by Steve Perry from that point onward there are a vast collection of TK citings. Darth Maul and Mace Windu are said to be TKM's Mara Jade has TK skills, Arden Lynn who appears in the Playstation fighting game.
further citing in the EU are more reference to moves etc and in older times Jedi were actually said to have been TK before the sabre and TK was the lineage that continued by using the force internally, being able to keep a cap on it rather than a constant flow which is what Jedi do, therefore realising the use of the sabre as an external display of the force.
are TK technically force wielders? yes
are TK watchers of the Jedi? yes
are TK hunters of the Jedi? yes, Dark Jedi Primarily (also Light Jedi in reference to Arden Lynn who was hired by to assasinate Skywalker hence hunting and that is Lucas approved EU law so that is an end to the "are TK jedi hunters debate"
are TK Jedi? yes (in most citings TK mixed with Jedi proficiency results in Dark Jedi eg: Darth Maul, Xendor)
is there a fine line between TK and Jedi? yes
do i have all the answers? no (but i have most of them and until george lucas draws a line in the sand, the sum total of TKO knowledge is the TK history in SWG and elsewhere given credible inspiration)
you can relate TK to kung fu, in its lau gar western watered down form it is a style of fighting but when practiced by shaolin monks its a totally different ballpark. Martial arts were born out of India/China and moved to the surrounding asian nations, so the way i always equate TK is to say this.
TK = Ninja
Jedi = Samurai

Actually Arden Lyn was hired to take out all of the prominent Rebels (that included Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca, none of which were Jedi).
I think that there is such a limited amount of info on TK (from official sources) that the devs have pretty much a free reign on what they do with the TK powers and background. I think that's cool.

Actually, I'm interested to know where in the EU this information comes from. This is the first I've heard of this from any official source.
