Thread: A question for the masters /bow
This is really more of a Rifle V TKM issue. As stated, Rifle dabbling is a no - no. So its master one or the other. Heres my opinion:
Rifleman Pros:
- Massive damage
- Focuses on Mind pool
- Massive range of damage types
- Rifle and Ranger - Camoflague + Conceal Shot is a nice compliment
Rifle Cons:
- Higher in the tree, HAM costs get quite steep
- Abysmal accuracy when moving
- If the enemy comes close, when Rifle stands alone, you could be in some trouble
TKA Pros:
- Great range of states
- Low maintenance (Armour and Weapons not even needed)
- Very high endurance
- Ability to precision strike all three pools (Although considerably weaker, and no bleeds)
- Relative low HAM costs
- Self reliability
TKA Cons:
- Loses to Rifle in damage output
- Must fight in close range
- Only one damage type
A rough summary:
Rifle - Damage, damage, damage - One of the best offensive professions (alongside Sword, Jedi, and Pike)
TKA - Endurance, Defence, and Reliability - One of the best defensive professinos out there (alongside Fencer and Pistols)

hmm where did you get High State Defences from? A Teras Kasi Master gets:-
10 Vs Blind
20 Vs KD
15 Vs Stun
5 Vs Dizzy
30 Vs Posture Down
I don't consider that high to be honest :-/ anyways If it's rifleman or TKM i'm both so i'd say TKM i use a heck of alot more. Rifles are probably one of the toughest opponents in PVP because if you catch them they've probably taken foods to make your states useless and with 80% resists and then doing damage to a someone with 2.5 buffs is a tough contest. Depends on what you wanna to to be honest. I'd go Teras Kasi purely because it's alot lower HAM costs.
Personally I prefer TK over rifles, but that is all it really comes down to. Which one do you think would be more fun to play? Either way you could always drop skills if you find you don't like them and master the other of course, but I would just start with which one seems more appealing to you.
