Been doing some research after someone mentioned Mastering another Brawler skill (Fencer, Pikeman, or Swordsman), and I've come across this...

They said they were gonna take up another skill for the purpose of getting the added bonuses to combat, etc, but what about new abilities. Not /pikemanheadshot1 or whatever, what I mean is this... Dodge, Block, and Counterattack. I asked around on the boards and they all said that you dont have to have the specific weapon equiped to use these abilities. As a TK, I believe we get Equilibrium as our special. If you went pure brawler, I believe you have enough points to Master 3 of the 4 brawler elites, so you would have max points in 2 of the 3 other abilities.

Do you think it's worth it?

Actually, it can be said to only go up the specific tree's for those skills, but their tree's dont work like ours. We have a whole tree just forknockdown and equilibrium stuff... they dont. So the only way to get decent would be to hit master.

Besides, a Martial Arts weapon's expert does sound pretty cool. Hands, the Staff, and the Blade.

Actually, all you really need to do in order to accomplish some good double dipping is go up the defensive trees of each respective class, and a few others in fencer to accomplish some sick defensive ratings and saves. The template i'm following right now is Master Brawler, Master TKA, Sword Defense Master, Pikemen Defense Master and the first 3 (from left to right) trees of fencer. Tha is some sick sick defense there, and alot more then going up 3 masters...

So you're saying to Master Brawler and get those bonus' then move up the defensive tree's of the other three?

What about the Dodge, Block, and Counterattack?

I think you get more bang for your buck by just going up the defensive trees then mastering them all. Thats what I'm saying. And it looks like for each of those professions that you can only get to around +25 of each of those unique ratings, which doesnt seem like a whole lot when you compare it to potentially 80-90 ranged and melee defense, 100 knockdown, 40-60 blind, stun, dizzy etc that you can achieve by spreading the points out over just the defensive categories.

OK, just did some in game research and have this...

Teras Kasi Master, obviously...

Master Brawler

Master Fencer:

-you get Combat EQ in the Finese tree

-Def vs Blind, Dizzy, andIntimidate in Technique

-Def vs Posture Change Down andKnockdown in Footwork

-Ranged and Melee Defense in Stances and Grips

Swordsmanship:

-Expert Sword Offense

-Def vs Intim, Diz, and Stun +20 each

Master Sword Defense

-Ranged and Melee Defense

-Def vs Knockdown

-Def vs Posture Change Down

Pikeman:

-Master Defensive Technique

-Crazy amount of Def vs stuff

With all this (according to www.beafraid.com) you end up with -5 Skill points. Seeing as how I dont totally trust their numbers, but use them as a guide, it MIGHT be doable. Otherwise just sacrifice one of these.
