Ok I have tried and tried to be patient with SOE/DEVS.

I have tried to look on the brightside for 2 months

Now they are nerfing knockdown again. I spent to months of expierance grinding playing several our per day, to become a TKA and finally got KD.

And now they are nerfing it.

Now whatever skill becomes obviously powerful since KD is getting nerfed will be next.

Nerfs will be the death of this game. Pretty soon we will all just be able to do normal attacks on cornellian butterflies.

I hope all you nerf whiners are happy becuase your class is next now.

STOP NERFING EVERY FUN SKILL IN THE GAME SOE, SOONER OR LATER I WILL GET MAD AND QUIT THIS GAME.

Not that you really care anyways, but AC2 Devs did not care either and look at them, 20 people on a server at peak times

Nerfs generally don't hurt anyone who doesn't use the exploit being nerfed.

And yes, being able to fight red cons without being hit IS an exploit.

"And yes, being able to fight red cons without being hit IS an exploit."

Its not an exploit its a balance issue.

"Nerfs generally don't hurt anyone who doesn't use the exploit being nerfed."

That is quite the tautology.

I agree with spiffy, being able to kill red con mobs without being hit is overpowered. I wouldn't call it an exploit per se, but it definitely is too powerful.

Red con. means that without extremely good tactics and power you will die. Knockdown for a Teras Kasi artist should be considered extremely good tactics. Also, when I use knockdown, I DO still get hit. Andyeah, I can solo them, but the experience comes in no faster than if I killed white con mobs. In fact, if I killed yellows it'd probably come in faster than with reds. It's just a lot more fun.

I just can't see that using one skill over and over shoudl be considered extremely good tactics. If a giant Baz nitch looks like instant death, or whatever, and you walk right up to it and unceremoniously smack it into next week without taking a single hit, then something needs to be rebalanced.

Believe me, I'm not looking forward to the increased HAM costs either, but I did pick up a backpack full of tat sunburns yesterday, and believe me, having over 2000 str and stamina makes things much easier. Plus, you can always drink 2, then you're talking over 3500 in each stat. HAM costs are no longer a real problem.

What this patch is going to do is make buffs actually worth it. The fact that you can, with just a bit of work, double all your stats has got to be in the game for a reason. Time to find out why.

What they said. Its overpowered. Now that being said I do feel for us folks that arent master yet its gonna be hard. Still BH will be able to kill anyone before they get a shot at.

I just wanted to laud Selwynn for using the word "tautology."

.... Well, and I wanted to kvetch logically, too.

Supposition: If Knockdown is overly powerful, then it should therefore be nerfed.

Point (Opinion): Knockdown is the most useful ability of the entire TKA track.

Submission: The most useful ability of the TKA track should be nerfed.

Okay, I'm alright with that. But what happens to the TKA's when their "one saving grace" is taken away?

Think of it from a roleplaying point of view. Knockdown is a powerful skill in the hands of a well trained martial artist. Sure, it's just a button for us, but it's good tactics for the character. I disagree with anyone who thinks it should be nerfed again. You have to work hard to get there, and even afterward it takes quite a long time to level up. It seems perfectly balanced for PvE to me. PvP... well, maybe not. But I think all knockdown moves should be invalid, or at least very low success rate PvP.

Remember too it's not just Knockdown for TKAs. I believe every combat class besides rifleman has a knockdown skill. It's a balancing of the entire combat side of the game. At least our misery has company
