Thread: Nyms / Baz Nitches not possible with just knockdown?

I don't understand how people claim to get decent xp rates with just 1 level in TKA - balancing (for knockdown). I've tried both nyms and baz nitches... and find with 134 2.5 knucklers I get about 4 shots in before I need to re-apply knockdown.

Doing around 150-250 damage a pop it takes me nearly 5-7 minutes to kill a nitch / nym and if I happen to miss my knockdown 2-3 times I'm almost certain to die.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need a stronger VK and more skills in the power tree before I can get decent xp rates against these mobs.

I calculate 20-50k an hour if I'm lucky, it seems to me Talus or something would yeild better xp with only 1 skill learned in TKA.

Any advice / or comments that I'm s - out of luck would be appreciated.

well the thing is ...just becuase u got knockdown does not gurantee u can go around and kill everything that moves. Yes u do need to reaply kd all the time but now u need to go to power tree of tka. That where the speed and damage come from. No one said its gonna be easy but once u advance in power , its gonna go alot easier.

If u want u can move to dantoin first, before u get power at least 1, dantooin has easier animals or u can just run around killing lairs.

Well that all i have to say

Awesome thanks for the response.

I wanted to make sure it was that I'm still weak and not some other variable. Some of the posts made it seem like you could crush nyms/baz nitches without any skills in the power tree.

Also, remember to fight the giant baz nitches. There are regular baz nitches that aren't nearly as good.

When fighting solo...which is what I mostly do....

It seems knockdown stacks... so for most large MOBS...

I hit it with knockdown like 4 or 5 times...

Then a dizzy...then arm the VK's...

For most stuff that isn't giant sized...that's all I need to do...I can then hit it 15-20 times in a row...

Knockdown does not stack.

Then why if I hit something with knockdown 6 or 7 times in a row..then I can hit it 20 times in a row without it hittimg me back?

I agree KD does NOT stack.

Well then something must be magically different on Radiant/Rori then. Maybe because I always land /healthshot2 on a MOB.

I've been nailing Tortons and LeviaSqualls all week since I got KD...with a string of knockdowns....then landing a ton of hits....

If I land 1 knockdown...I can get in 4-5 hits...then I start getting whacked again...

If I land a bunch of consecutive knockdowns...I get to land a bunch more hits...not 4 or 5... I mean 15-20 hits.

That's what I'm calling stacking. That's whats happening for me.

I did two leviasquall nests...a torton nest...and a static spawn leviasqualls last night....

For the leviasqualls...I pull with /healthshot2 to get it bleeding.......then I'd que up a dozen KD's...let them all hit...that would take the squall to around 75% health...then I'd arm VK's and take it down by another 50% to about 25% health with a LONG string of hits where the squall just stands there...then I'd have to fire off a few more KD's...then arm VK's again...and finish it off.

I did this for hours last night.

I was wondering this myself. I just got KD on my TKA and was going to try Baz Natches out. I also am novice CH so I will see if my Mountain Dewback will help take them down faster.

you can crush nym you just need to have dizzy in which you follow with a KD then you reapply KD every so often and your done

"Yeah, dont you know? when you die your body emits a powerful form of radiation that penetrates all containers and crates, and pretty much anything and everything on you.

But have no fear! If you insure you get radiation protection on your items. The problem with that tho is that it only protects 99% of your items integrity."

Baz Nitches are better for experience than Nyms because they hit for less and won't use specials on you..

I've been hit for 950 by a Nym who used a move called Shiim on me... wounded my constitution for 480 =p

Though if you are going to fight Baz Nitches, you'd better hurry up because people are already whining that they are exploits and they pay too much, yadda yadda ya.
