Any ideas? I can't find a middleground for xp, the critters are either too hard or too easy. Currently on Tatooine and at unarmed 3, about 15k from 4.

Do you have any other combat skills you can use to weaken the mob and then finish with unarmed?

Are you debuffing the mob with intimidate, blind or stun?

These 2 things can help a lot.

All I have is Unarmed and Medic, using stun and/or blind.

oh, you gotta try intimidate on mobs as well, and do that move till it sticks because it will lower the damage you take immensely.

Also are you wearing any armor? If not I would invest in some cheap armor with any kinetic resists, it will help out a lot too. Since you are not doing a lot of specials at this level of unarmed fighting.

I am in the same boat... well actually I'm 14k xp into Unarm4. To achieve unarm3 I ran out of Talus and took NightSpider missions, and attacked the Capper Spine thingies. Each would give me between 100-180 xp, and they were pretty easy kills.

Now I am on Talus, and I hunt Song Rasps, for 500-600 xp a piece. Mind you, they are tough, and when you attack on, the others fight back. Also, you can go for Gof Drulgs on Talus, for 300-500 xp. OR you can go for Rot Mites on Talus for 300-400 xp.

Mind you, I am a novice pistoleer, so in a scrape I pull out my blaster, but I also goto the mission terminal with my DX2 equipped, to pull tougher missions. I also, on larger animals use a macro for

/unarmedStun1; /unarmedBlind1; /intimidate1

Others seem to put intimidate first, but I haven't tried that yet. Use beserk and /unarmedLunge1 when you can, and have fun! If there are other ways out there PLEASE TELL ME... these rasps are getting monotanous!

I use intimidate1 first because I believe it lowers the creatures damage output the most and can be a life saver while you apply/reapply debuffs.

Take scout skills so you can start trapping targets and build camps to heal in...helps a lot, especially if you solo a lot. Make sure to examine creatures for kinetic resists...the lower the better, obviously. Even though you can't use their full power, buy a Vibroknuckler if you can afford it. I killed a ton of crazed durins, diseased vrelts, gurrcats, etc. All good for between 150 and 400XP each and not too tough. Like the previous poster said, make sure to use intimidate.

Also, if you can afford it, get a non-aggro pet to tank for you. Cowardly Gurreck, rock beetles are very popular now.

As for locations, there is a valley beteween Doaba Guerfel and Agrilat Swamp on Correlia that has tons of good mid level creatures for you. I camped there for a while solo and got most of my XP for unarmed 4 and TK novice there. Also, outside of Moena on Naboo there is good stuff too, Kreetles, Shauputs, etc. Find other people to go on cave hunts with you...the Narglatch caves near Moenia are good, as are the Borgle bat caves on Rori. In general, once you get to unarmed 4 and TK novice I have found that cats of all types are good targets because they have low kinetic resists

Grind on, because once you get to TK novice it gets a lot better. At TK novice 0,0,0,0, my pet and I can pretty easily solo creatures that give me 1,500 to 3K XP, and was able to go into the Squill caves on Tat with only one other person...we took it slow, but we didn't die!

I'm on Bria too...didn't even think to ask that before my post. I'll pop you on my friends list and send a /tell when I see you. I generally hunt with a Master Doctor and aMaster Ranger/High level CH with great pets, so we've been making some cool trips to Lok, Endor, etc. where the XP is much bigger and the creatures much scarier! I'm the only brawler in the bunch, so would be good to have some company...

go to naboo, fight vynock lairs, 300xp per kill and it spawns about 25.

ya its lame xp but you have to grind sooner or later. either that or just get buffed by a doctor.

If applicable, try wearing Mabari armor. That was my first set, sans helmet, and I got it for under 1000 a piece. Light armor is very effective even w/o muchKinetic bonus (50% is the base reduction for 1 level of armor difference) and the encumberance of Mabari is quite low. It took me a while to sell my old Mabari chest piece, and it finally did for 200 credits (it was in good condition too).
