I been working to make TKM since i started playing just cause i like the class....don't care much about PVP or PVE ,win lose or draw, it's all been good.

Does any body know where we fit in historically in Star Wars? Or if we even do? I had not even heard of Teras Kasi until I started playing, but I am not up on all the details of stuff (I'm media impaired at home):

Any way ....what are we really? Anybody know?

Well TKA is mentioned in some of the books first off

I have them listed in my sig

I'm not sure if Agents of chaos 2 has a mention or not I saw it here(I think maybe it was elsewhere I don't know) and I can comfirm the mention in Shadow Hunter

Shadows of the Empire has a brief mention(very brief just a paragraph but still its in there) about the Pike sister and how they learned the art on a planet in the Outer Rim

well thats all I know at the moment but those books have some mention of it

Oh and of course theres the Star Wars fighting game Masters of Teras Kasi(It was a game like Street fighter or Mortal Combat)

I started working my way to TKM from the start because i like the class, dont really care bout PVP or PVE, win lose draw, it's all been good.

My question is ....what is the historical perspective about TK's in the Star Wars storyline? Is there one even? I never heard of them till i started playing and while not the most fanatic of fans, I have always enjoyed Star Wars.

Is there a history to the class or is this strictly a dev thing?

well all the info i have is from pen and paper RPG star wars and all the info in those is passed through lucus arts. but what i read about TKM is that they were as in the old republic were people trained in martial arts to counter balance the power of jedi so they were trained to fight jedi. not that they were as strong but with numbers they could kill them. some were said to have some force powers although this is not confirmed but they were very in tune with the force whitch is gained through meditating and training. they hit vuln spots on the body with very fast speed. and thats all the info i have ever seen although i have been looking for more.

I read somewhere that some of the Original BH's in Star Wars were trained in TK which would explain the counter balance to the Jedi.

I think that is the Shadows of the Empire book...

I always thought it was ironic that a Jedi has to mercilessly slaughter innocent animals to advance their skill.....doesn't seem very Jedi-like to me.

slick,

your thinking of the game "Masters of Teras Kasi"(a Star Wars game similar to Street fighter or Mortal Combat)

Unless I could be wrong and there is a book out there about a Teras Kasi trying to kill Luke

the only mentions I know are Darth maul Shadow hunter: Jedi Master Anoon Bondara knew some Teras Kasi and of course Darth Maul was one

And Shadows of the Empire. The Pike sisters have a short mention(only about a paragraph) about them being trained in the Teras kasi arts on a outer rim planet(I think Bunduki is actually mentioned not sure. I may have to go check)

and I haven't read Agents of Chaos yet
