Thread: Thinking of coming back for a bit...

I'm getting sick of EQ, and while it's still an SOE game, at least I'd be spending less money (2 accounts over there), and SWG was kind of fun till I ran out of content (which I hear has improved a little). I had a Master Doctor and dabbling Creature Handler before, but it was boring. I was thinking of running a Master Doctor/Master TKA this time (probably some Scout to finish out).

Will I have access to the speeder bikes and stuff, or is that something I have to buy? That's probably the make or break point for me at the moment.

Speederbikes are relatively inexpensive and easy to come by (at least they are on the bloodfin server).

I really mistated myself there, didn't I?

I mean are the vehicles an expansion I'll have to buy, or are the available with just SWG basic game? If I have to buy another expansion, forget it, I'll wash my hands of SOE and play Warcraft III or Diablo II till WoW releases.

Nope, vehicles are in-game as a regular part of the game. You buy them in-game like anything else, clothing, armor, etc.

No its not an expansion. Any master artisan can build you a speederbike

Good deal. Well I'm having a little trouble remembering what on earth I'm doing, but I've gotten to Unarmed I and Exploration I now, but I'm flat broke and started in Mos Espa which is apparently only visited by Trandoshan TKA/Doc's, who just started. (aka "me") So I'm trying to finish some missions so I can hitch a ride to Mos Eisley. Hopefully I find some PC trainers there. As long as I pick up a really good helmet (figuring Composite if I ever get enough money) will my Mind damage taken be tolerable? I'm really wanting to just be able to fart around on this character and solo till WoW releases. I hate taking drugs for the raise to Mind (not a roleplay thing, just hate being chained to something I can't make myself), so are there any new options to boost Mind regen a bit?

More ppl in Bestine and Mos Espa then Mos eisly. Further you dont wanna use a comp helmet as a doc. .. yet atleast couse of themind cost.Get a body instead. Preferably Ubese. you need light armor. Anyway, It costs an arm and a leg so you'll prolly figure out you should wait a lill anyway.

Well now, I played a Master Doctor before, and I actually wore a chitin helmet all the time. I just took it off if I needed to let my mind regen some. With full buffs, healing was almost never needed. If I'm in meleeing as a TKA though, aren't I going to need to wear a helmet *in battle* and just take it off between fights? I don't anticipate needing more than the occasional heal during a fight, with 3000+ Constitution & Stamina. But I've never played this kind of template before so a lot of this is guesswork.
