Thread: TKM + Melee Defense ?

Melee defence doesnt make u harder to hit it makes u take less dmg from each hit. And it caps at +125 anyways.

Melee defense does make you harder to hit, it decreases your chance to be hit. Toughness decreases the amount of damage you take when you are hit. If you are wanting better defenses, look at the fencer defenses, best in the game and you already have novice brawler.

but melee and ranged defense do cap at 125.

Question,


Would benefit would be instead of second master profession but to go up both the Pistoleer and Rifleman line of 0-0-0-4 to obtain the +Melee Defense it gives.


Wouldn't that make one hard to hit TKM?

TKM combinations:


Best defenses in the game:


TKM, 444 fencer, 0040 pistoleer, then apply your remaining skill points between smuggler and/or medic.


Alternative:


TKM, Master Fencer, 4040 pistoleer, remaining in medic


Best in PvE:


TKM + either heavy swords or pike, + master brawler


Best in PvP:


TKM+Master Rifle, remainder in medic


And all these will likely change in 2 months or less depending on when publish 10 and the combat balance hits. But as they stand now, these aren't the only choices, but are all among the best.

all you really need is TKM, MFENCER, 1040 pistoleer since that caps your dodge. You can really do whatever you want with the rest of the points, medic is a decent spot to put em.

Do the pistol and fencer dodges stack? I thought I read somewhere that they didnt. I am a tkm, master smugg, master pistoleer, and I was thinking about picking up some fencer to mess around with my defence until the smuggler revamp. I want to keep last ditch,master pistols, and tkm, so I figure I can get one of the fencer lines. Was thinking about getting 4000 in fencer to cap my ranged and melee def, or would the dodge line be better?
