I was having a conversation with a TKM friend on mine, comparing damage outputs of our 2 proffessions. I am a Carbineer/BH, and he is a TKM. Anyways we eventually got onto the topic of comparing weapon damages. My Laser Carbine is 124-559, and his Knuckles were 64-184 (could be mistaken, don't remember exactlybut the max damage was not over 200) But yet he could easily keep up to me in damage. Which lead me to these conclusions.
1.) TKM have stupidly high damage mult's on their skills
*OR*
2.) Unarmed Damage does something, as oppossed to the other melee damage skills which seem to do nothing.
Just curious if anyone has any info on how this skill works, i am kinda looking for numbers if someone has them as i do enjoy trying to understand the math behind this game.

1) unarmedhit3 is a 4 times damage mod i think
2) unarmed damage increase by a percent i belive so at master the damage of his vk is modified by 250%

The damage mod is actually a direct increase, not a percentage. It adds 250 to both minimum and maximum damage. And it stacks with the VKs, so a 100-210 VK used by a TKM is really 350-560. Making TKAs very powerful and resistant to melee mitigation to a large extent.

Ah, i thought unarmed damage only determined our damage when we were fighting without VKs. Good to know.

I was wondering about that also.
But what is the base unarmed damage level. I mean, what is the theoritcal damage range of a non-trandoshan (because of their innate bonuses)fighting unarmed without novice brawler?
