Yesterday I participated in an immensely fun large scale raid on the DWB with my guildand a lot of other players. We made it about as far as the shuttle bay, but after two attempts we were overwelmed by the Super Battle Droids. Even though we all died, TWICE, it was the most fun I've had in a while in SWG.

We had several TKMs present, and I fully believe that one of the reasons we didn't get further was because most TKMs there were treating the DWB like all other PVE in the game. That is, walking up to a SBD and spamming Unarmed Hit Three until the cows come home. I think we all realize that mobs in the DWB are on a different plane of difficulty than the rest of the game, which means you actually have to use group tactics again like before December. Anyone remember that? I would like your opinions on what I think is being done wrong in the DWB.

Is it really wise to spam UAH3 on a mob with uber HAM and HEAVY armorand high kinetic resist when you only have an AP1 weapon and there are plenty of Rifleman, BHs, Pikemen, and Swordsmen who can actually do some damage to the thing? If the SBDs run wild, the group gets owned. I think there should be at least one to two TKMs tanking every SBD, using autoattack, center of being, and taunt (an underused ability). When you are not spamming specials you can tank one of these things indefinately. "But buffs are uber!" you might say. SBDs hit hard, and what happens when your brandy runs out while you are in the middle of endless UAH3 spam (which is doing almost no damage) and all of a sudden your mind bar is almost nothing in a split second? I saw this happen a lot last night.

What are your thoughts? I'd like to hear from other people who have been TKs for a long time. I say our role in this type of raid is to keep the baddest enemies occupied while the people with highest damage output (read: Armor Piercing) take them out.

No longer holding out hope, SWG will never be the game we fought so hard for, that we believed so much in. Farewell friends.
