Hey guys and gals,
I was just wondering where some good areas to hunting as a single player?
My template is 0/1/3/2
I don't have any armor / doc buffs / foods, the only thing I use, and rarely at that, are some VK's.
What should I be using?
Also any ideas on what I should take as a secondary profession would be appreciated, the only other profession I have at the moment is Master Scout, and that is because, before I took my year long break, they didn't have vehicles in the game yet.
Any input would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you,

I would suggest running some terminal creature missions, as the NPCs will use specials till you die. Save up for some Ubese armor for the kinectic dmg that you will encounter from creatures and NPC's. You could run some delivery missions but those arent worth much unless they are far away. You could also attack meatlumps and fairy easy NPCs till you collect enough money from them, but that might take all day, not saying that you need armor but it is a factor in how you make money. Personally im a TKM running missions with full set of composite out on Dathomir killing Rancors at 37k credits a mission. By that time you should be able to afford buffs from doctors and composite armor. Just keep chugging away at it, eventually everything will fall into place. Also see if you can get a low set of buffs from a doctor, some doc's might have enhancement packs which they dont use due to low numbers.

I ran more huurton howler missions than I care to think about... Huurtons dizzy you, but they don't disease or poison you like quenkers or voritors. I avoided those two like the plague they are.
Are you operating without buffs, foods, armor, etc., because that's how you prefer it, or because you haven't been able to afford them?
The game only turned around for me once I had composite armor and could get decent cash flow going on the missions.

You're probably looking at creatures of difficulty 10-15. Things like Zucca Boar, Eopies, Banthas, Kaadus, Kahmurra, Gurrcat.
Which planet will you be hunting on most?

If you are going to solo hunt without buffs(I do that quite often myself
) I would highly recommend, if you can afford it, to get at least meditation 2 in TKA.
That will give you access to powerboost and let you temporarily give yourself a mini-buff to your HAM pools. The formula is divide your unbuffed mind pool by two, then that amount will be added to your health, action, and mind pools. It is only 5 minutes or so at meditation 2, and 10 minutes at master, but it helps a lot
Second, I would get yourself as low a ham cost VK as you can find, and only use it when you need it. That should cut down a ton on your ham costs when fighting.
Third, another box I would get if you can afford it would be balance 2, that gives you a nice boost in unarmed toughness which will cut down on the melee damage you can take.
As for foods I would recommend for fighting unbuffed and unarmored, they would be:
Synthsteak - increases toughness against x number of attacks
Protein Wafers - same as synthsteak only less powerful but much less filling
Pikata Pie - gives you an x% chance for attacks to completely miss you for x minutes
Aircake - weaker version of pie but much less filling
Vasarian Brandy - buffs your mind stats by a decent amount for 40ish minutes
Vagarean Canapes - "food" version of brandy, only buffs secondaries, lasts 10ish minutes
Won Wons - health version of Canapes
Swirls - action version of canapes
Ahrisa - 45 minute focus buff
Spices:
Neutronian Pixie - 10ish minute super buff to health and action, but with adowner
Muon Gold - super buff to mind stats for 10 minutes but with a downer
I don't know how long you've been back hon so you may not know from when you left that foods got a huge revamp and are incredibly useful. Food items use up the food bar, drink items the drink bar, and it takes about 45 minutes for a full bar to empty. Most foods are either around 30ish to 50 filling so you can have a lot in you. Spices can be used at any time regardless of how full you are, but you can only have one spice in you at a time, and they have a 3ish minute downer time when they run out where they lower your ham by the amount that they boosted it. This makes them useful for emergencies or short fighting bursts only.
Finally, as for a secondary profession?
I would drop everything in scout save for either explore 3 or explore 1(1 gives you a minor terrain negotiation boost, 3 gives you almost full terrain negotiation). Then I would either pick up a bunch of medic and buy stims to self heal yourself, master tkm, or pick up xx00 fencer for the defense boosts.
