Well I've never done anything with pikemen, but all I can say is that the grind from unarmed 1 to teras kasi novice has to be one of the longest and most taxing leveling experiences ever. If you want to have an elite profession to start in order to perhaps gain some credits, do some pvp then by all means go pikemen first. It's a lot faster than TKM and Pikemen have some of the most insane DoT's I have ever seen. As for the combat xp comng faster I've dabbled in fencer and swordsman and I really didn't notice much of a difference as far as gaining combat xp goes. As for the Meditation portion of it yes it does do something at box 1 but its barely usefull and much better to level power and then balance and finally medition and let the fourth line come over time. Lastly if you can and have the creds, try and pick up some accuracy skill tapes which will definetly help. Hope this helps and if any of this is wrong just ignore it. TKA has better defenses, many of which carry over to pikeman. That might be a good enough reason to do TKA first.

You get a better spinattack in pikeman then in TK. But the accurency was never a problem for me as I was a TKM with capped combat xp when i started pikeman. I just bought all the accurencyskills I could. Then I killed alot of things with TKM to get the last combat xp box in pikeman.. so I couldnt advice you in that.

But TKn doesnt miss all to often depending on what lvl mobs your fighting. And I thought TK was a faster grind (I grind to keep, not to master-drop). But buy accurencyfood and/or tapes if youve got the money.

But the spinattacks you get as a pikeman are mad from a TKMs perspective, and Ive not had that much fun killing Sharnaffs since I grinded TK on them.

My advice to you is to do TK first for a combat-xp-income. Then do the pikeman accurency tree using TK.

Yea get master brawler first. Its a real boost to both professions if your novice (And a boost to pike when your a master).

id go tkm first ive being Pikeman and tkm at once and tkm helps alot with the defences while grinding pikeman as it very slow grind , but it all depends on which you like grinding are doing , i didnt really like pikeman but love tkm but the medatate line will help the wound you will get while grinding pikeman
