do they exist? I haven't been playing TK for very long.
oh and as for diffrent damage types, how bout some electroshock gloves like the ones on the neuropa combot

The alternative is to go completely unarmed. As a TK you either use VKs or you don't.

There is a new red sun vibro knuckler but i dont know when it comes out, it has heat damage so it might help a little. Otherwise i think if u have a fishing pole equipped it still counts as unarmed. heh other than that u got me.

there are spieces that cannot wear gloves, so gloves are not an option.

I thought they scratched that new knuckler idea a long time ago? People complained it would give an unfair advantage. lol

RK is being delayed until Combat Balance where, since everything gets a huge "change" ie Nerf, Heat damage maybe far from overpowered. Its currently not a very effective damage type, as its quite commonly resisted, especially by mobs which alreayd have high kinetic defence.
Although personally I prefer purely unarmed, although its fun using a fishing rod or a slitherhorn to beat down a rancor.

The Razor Knuckler that does heat damage was put on hold for combat revamp (if that will ever happen), I can go without a VK especially when in merc room to help give my groupmates more xp, it's not bad going bare handed since it's lower on ham too.

Haha. I've never killed rancors that way, but I have killed things that agro'ed on me with nothing but a fishing rod equipped. I kept thinking, why is it taking me so long to kill this thing? Then I realized I forgot to reequip my VK.

How about allowing us to equip two vks at a time.
Really though, the only other options are theC12 Frag Grenade andthe good old CDEFs (good for luring in a target to beat-down range).
Grenade, around 200-700 blast dmg, 3.2 spd-ish (Pup can take it over 1000 maxDmg)
Cdef pistol, 31-64 energy dmg, 3.2 spd (unsliced)
(almost perfect stats for a cdef pistol from(990oq)/(1000conduct) copper, (982oq liq petro), Master Artisan)
