The best thing to do is just to pick a weapon you are interested in and try it out. Pretty much any profession will compliment TK in a template. Pistoleer and Rifleman are the most common combinations though.

U could go pistoleer, master brawler because then you can use lunge 2 and intimidate 2 + warcry 2. Heres a good template dunno if u have enough SP tho...TKM/Some pistoleer if not All/Bh 0040

Most fun I had was TKM, Master Pistoleer and Master Smuggler.
Good range and melee def/skills and a non combat profession for another source of income and a chance to Roleplay. Plus you will always have the best weapons/armour as you buy them then slice them yourself.
Haven't tried Rancors without composite but since I wasn't dropping anyHAM at all, it should be ok, this template is great for a melee tank

Suggest the same thing as Gibson. Pistoleer is kind of...frustrating at first, but not too bad at master.
However, it depends on what you're after. If you're after a fun profession, yeah, pick up a weapon that interests you and have fun. ![]()

Rifle/TKM is a great pvp template and very strong pve, especially with pistoleer defence line, take accuracy food for grinding so you actually hit something and ahrisa for firing specials. I missed a lot till I hit Master Rifleman
For grinding pistoleer/smuggler I'd get novice smuggler for feign death, get a speed sliced DX2 with speed powerups and wander around Endor fully buffed shootinganything and running around between a couple of lairs. When in trouble you can always feign death till you regen and if poisoned/diseased just meditate it away. Endor is awesome for xp unlike squill caves/ft tusken etcwhich are generally camped
Have you thought about TKM /Doc? That's a really good pve template but you miss out on shooting things. Doc's not too bad a grind apart from the crafting which takes a couple of hours with 3 crafting tools and a big chunk of resources. It makes a change from running solo group missions and is very rewarding. I'd recommend staying away from buffing at starports as this was just too tedious for me so my doc toon roleplays more these days and I buff who I like

Hi all. I'm still kinda new to this game, and so far i've only mastered TK and Marksman.
Now to stay in the spirit of Star Wars i was thinking i'd better combine my TK with something "shooting". So any suggestions to what i'd best go for?
I'm not planning to do any PvPing, just hunting so far. Also not planning on going for Jedi or anything, just want to be able tekill Rancors/Janta/whateverwithout having to wear Composite.

I've decided to go TKM - Pistoleer - Smuggler.
I play on infinity and I don't actually see all to many smugglers around, so thats reason enough to do it.
That way i also have a nice roleplaying proffesion also, and slicing my own weapons looks cool.
And i'm still to new at this and i have no idea what that gets me for defences n all, but it sounds cool as hell.
Thanks for ur help u guys.

On the right hand side you will see a box with an arrow (pointing up or down) that will sticky the thread for you personally. Just clisk the arrow again if it is stickied still, and remember that anything a Correspondent, Developer, or Moderator stickies for all users can only be unstickied by one of them.
