I've been reading things on the diminishing returns on defenses and was wondering if I would be better off trading in my melee/ranged defense outfit in for a unarmed damage outfit. Does anyone agree or disagree with that?

both are useless...get whatever looks good.

unarmed dmg mods don't work.

and defense is capped as soon as you turn on CoB. doesn't matter if you have 200 defense or 350. cob caps you.

go for terrain negotation and melee/ranged defense.

Is it confirmed that the dmg mods don't work, I thought I read someone confirmed they did work. This is all so confusing.

I think dmg mods work if your fighting with bare fists. Not 100% sure on that though. But I've got one unarmed dmg/terrain neg shirt to help me get up hills a lil faster, but other than that I'm not gonna bother with anymore.

Being very confused by the different statements in the forum, I tested things myself and got the following:

For me it seems that

- BE-clothes dont work except terain negotian
- there must be an invisible cap in defenses as I took the same dmg with 250 and 344 melee defense. (tested without CoB)

I switched my template from 3 melee-prof to TKM + DOC (maybe testing CM) for healing myself.
Seems to be of more use than having MDef over 300.

The damage mods arn't working. I did some testing with them & then compered them to fighting with Burnout Sauce, with the sauce there was a bonus to damage, with the clothes, there wasn't.

Thanks everyone. Too bad for the devs, tissues were a great addition. Not making them wasn't. I understand some bugs but that is one they should easily spot in internal testing.
