Thread: TKM needs advice with CU

hi there fellow TKM's ive been away from swg for a long time but decided to come backat my roots in MMO's hehe
I have a couple questions,i have tried searching for the answers in the FAQ and stickies but no luck.
My template was MSmuggler and TKM and working up towards rifleman.
Is this still a viable template post CU?
if it is i want to know if the innate tkm armour still works even if i equip a rifle.
thanks in advance guys.
P.S.still think that MSmuggler/MRM/TKM is a good template cause well smuggler is my life hehe,tkm for close combat and rifleman to be able to do good dmg,from what i have read tkm is like a pure tank right now.

As far as I know, the ONLY think you cannot do with innate armor is wear any kind of armor. Equiping weapons does not disable it.
As for the template, I truly feel it depends on play style. TKM, MRifle sounds fun to me and we all know you can hit hard with MRifle and TKM is great tank so it seems well rounded. In the end, I think it denpends on how well you learn your character that makes it effective and fun.
Maybe somebody who has been MRifle can help more...but I LOVE TKM and think it is truly a fun profession to have.

Two problems with holding a Rifle as a TKM. One, you cannot use CoB while holding a ranged weapon. Two, your movements are slowed by holding a ranged weapon. Thus, you'll get hit harder and you'll dodge less hits. My opinion: For your two elite profs, go all melee or all ranged. Mixing doesn't work well together, but that's just me... ![]()

thanks for the advice.
well i used the skill point calculator post CU and i cant get both elite profs so ill probably go with master smuggler/master tkm
2 questions regarding this decision.
will i still be able to kill beast/humanoids solo or will i "tank" them but lack the punch to kill them.
If i go MSmuggler/TKM i should probably get master brawler aswell right? seems like a good choice to me.
