Center of Being increases the performance of your defenses. by what number i do not know, i just know it does.
it is designed to incorperate our defensive acuity, but since that doesn't work for us, that part of center of being doesn't work either.
Although that is not the only thing CoB does. it also increases the performance of your ranged defense mods, and your melee defense mods.
simply right now things miss you more often with that activated.
Really depends on the level of the creature, if it cons red, unless you land blind, its probably not going to miss you any more then normal.
in pvp and on white and lower mobs it does work and causes NPCs/mobs/players to miss you more often.
I tested the everloving out of CoB by attacking a diseased nuna and hitting /peace.
CoB did not reduce hits/increase misses. it did not activare 'defensive acuity'.
/tumbletostanding showed a lot more misses.
going prone, and using /takecover, made me almost untouchable.
that can't be right.
charging targets with the above mentioned /tumble gives me enough defense to offset the HAM cost... I just have to time it right, or I'm still tumbling when I make melee range, and can't use any specials.

That's not my experience. What I get is a big HAM hit and nothing more. BTW there is a thread from our correspondent that it is broken.

Just goin on experience...HAM cost isn't so bad if you are on powerboost. However, I coudln't powerboost last night, kept giving the message that I was channeled out yada yada yada, that was quie annoying let me tell you.

Just FYI CoB is not working now on TC either. I did not find any changes to the hit rate, and absolutely no dodges, evades, counterattacks, or anything like that with CoB on.
I'll continue to keep this at the front of the Dev's Attention as much as possible.

Yeah but any HAM hit for something that doesn't work is too much
