ok, here it goes:

Until yesterday, i was 0,1,2,2 Teras Kasi when I used my Vibroknuckles, I always needed 25 Mindper UnarmedHit2. That was ok and I had no problems. I whiped out a mutant baz nitches Lair without regeneration

Yesterday I got 0,1,3,2 and I got serious Problems with those critters. Unarmed Hit 2 used up 38mind and I experienced my attack speed went up seriously (I can kill these things during the KD+warcry-period). But the combination of "More-Mind-Cost" and "More-hit-per-time" left me with no mind.

I checked everything ... no wounds, no debuffs, no armor, same VK. Did they actually change something or is there such a high change when I learned the "expert power techniques" - skill

if it is a feature, any hints on how i can raise Mind (Statmigrated to the max)

- which food?

- which drinks?

- muon gold?

Muon Gold + Boost + Dancer/Musician Buffs and if your lucky enough to have picked zabrak when you created your character...then you have a nice mind emergency mind heal once and hour.

Oh forgot to add melee weapon powerups that decrease mind usage. These can come in handy as you level up. Once you hit TKM just toss the VK's in the trash and it's one less thing to worry about with mind costs.

Fishak Surprises, around 550 Mind and no negative effects. Drink

Bivoly Temparis, around 300 more Mind. Food.

You dont need a dancer to buf yourself.

And for HAM costs you can always try Breath Of Heaven. Drink. Around 550 Strengh, Quickness and Focus.

Contact your local Chef, he will be your best friend if you dont want to be a class dependant and want to buff yourself.

I guess your used to seeing the out of range spam then elzaa. Sure its nice to equip them if your target is dizzy and on the ground but you can almost guarantee a pvp loss if you go chasing someone around with VK's equipped. Sure people wear armor in pvp but the only times you might want to equip the VK's is if they are buffed. If they aren't... then armor or not your going to tear through them in seconds.

Arg...need an edit button. The whole food thing baffles me. Why would you spend money on crate after crate of drinks and food when not only the buff amount, but the buff duration is far less than the dancer/musician buff? Sure its a quick fix but if your going to take the time to pvp the right way then spend a few minutes in the cantina and tip your favorite entertainers to get some decent mind buffs, then go find a doctor for the rest. And there you go...your set for at least 2-2.5 hours. All these potions and snacks either drop or have a nasty downer...and it's usually at the worst times when your fighting.

Ok, so youre talking about plannified PVP.... now tell me, youre in your HQ and suddenly people attacks... no, wait, this is unfair, you need to let me find a doc and a dancer to buff my stats in order we can fight!!!! And you die... lets start again, dont attack!!! all wait!!! I need to run to the cantina to get new buffs!!! Man, thats no PVP, thats just duels or freaking fights around starports in cities. I´m talking about the possibilitie of buffing yourself in any situation and place, im talking about the real PVP, the one that only a few people plays. Going to a city buffed and kill afk people, crafters and people not really prepared is a poor PVP or just a little part of what PVP means.

Do what you want, be a doc/entertainer dependant, be prepared for PVP just when you have avaiable 2 chars at a time buuuuuuuut there are a lot of things that adds a lot of power and independence and its your choice to use or notuse them.

Not to mention that doctor buffs and dancer buffs are expensive, time consuming and not too efficient if you don't use them for the full duration. Spice/food is, together with powerboost, ideal for a quick mission or two - or a spontaneous duel.

Well like you said Lestat...to each his own and we all make decisions on what we use. I was just posting my opinion but thanks for blowing it out of proportion with your patronizing little scenario.

Why not have both musician/dancer buffs AND food/spice?

Doctor/dancer buffs are great, but not very portable. Always keep some Muon on you. Keep it in your toolbar. If you've got any medic at all, when you die it will always be because you ran out of mind. That quick hit will save you so many times.
