Thread: Please help a Twi' female TKA with her stats, (want to wear advanced ubese armor)
Hello all. I am a Twi' female and I am looking for another Twi' tka, and would like to know what your stats are. Also I just bought a full set of ubese armor, and where my states are now I can not wear the whole thing, and i would like to! I'm not too worried about wearing the helmet or the strap thingy (I really dont know much about how armor works, this is my first set!)
I have also heard that I can get my armor sliced so I would not have to change my stats and would be able to wear the hole thing. Not sure if this is true, but I wouldnt mind some feedback on it ![]()
Anywho, I would still love if other Twi' TKA'ers would please post what your stats are. Thanks a bunches ![]()
First thing is, every piece of armor has an encumbrance modifier which will affect ALL your secondary stats (constitution, strength, stamina, quickness, focus and willpower). To easily figure out what your stats need to be, you can examine each piece of armor and write down the encumbrance values.
For example, let's say the ubese helmet you bought has the following encumbrance modifiers: 56/34/250
That means that if you wear the helmet, your 'con' and 'str' will be reduced by 56, your 'sta' and 'quick' by 34, and your 'foc' and 'will' by 250.
Now, a full set of ubese armor is composed of the following items:
1. Helmet
2. Jacket
3. Left bracer
4. Right bracer
5. Gloves
6. Pants
7. Boots
While they all subtract from your secondary stats, you will notice that a few specific items have higher values. For example, helmets always have huge encumbrance modifiers to mind stats.
Now, write down all the encumbrance values from all the pieces and add them up. You should end up with the total encumbrance of the set. It could be something like (made up values): 540/490/600. That means that your 'con' and 'str will need to be at least 540, 'sta' and 'quick' 490 and 'foc' and 'will' 600.
Obviously those are very high values, so here are a few suggestions of what you need to do:
1. The most important thing is to have your whole armor set sliced by a Master Smuggler. Don't let anyone but a Master Smuggler slice it. Now, when you find a trust worthy smuggler (there's a contradiction in terms!) tell him that you want your armor sliced for encumbrance. If he knows his job (and he should), he will try to slice it so that at least the helmet, the jacket and the pants are sliced for encumbrance. A good slice by a Master Smuggler can reduce the encumbrance by as much as 35%, keep that in mind.
2. Migrate some of your stats so that they are all even across your secondary stats. I too have increased my mind stats to their maximum, but only because I am a Master Doctor and can buff my health and action stats. If you know a doctor that can buff you on a more or less regular basis, then increase your mind stats higher than your action and health stats. If not remember that you can always buy food and drink from chefs which can temporarily buff your stats, as well as spice from smugglers. Now, stat migration is a tricky business mainly because you have to figure out how independent you want to be. If you do not want to depend on other doctors to buff you, then don't reduce health and action too much. If you have novice medic skills, you can buy good 'B' stimpacks which can heal you for up to 414 each time.
3. You can always compromise and not wear the full set. For example, on any given time the only pieces I wear are the jacket, the bracers, the helmet and the gloves. That way my encumbrance is not so high. You can do some trial an error by wearing certain pieces and see how it goes in battle.
Well that's it for now... hope this helps you out a bit. Good luck!

I just wanna point out that smugglers have no control at all over whether a piece of armour gets sliced for encumberance or resists. It's not a matter of him or her "knowing his job" or not, it's luck.

Well... while that is true, what I meant is that an experienced Master Smuggler will slice a bracer first and see what he gets, if it is an effectiveness slice, the next slice has a good chance on being an encumbrance slice. So he can try bracer first, see what that gives, and then go for the big pieces.
That's what I meant
