It's funny how months ago when I had Doc in my character, I used to fight solely in Bio Clothing. Now it seems that it is essential to wear a few pieces of Armor. As a TKM I enjoyed the martial arts look, but it seems for me to stay alive longer I need Armor.
Does anyone solely use Bio Clothing, just Armor, or a combo? I guess I'm really interested to see whats effective on the battlefield. I see a lot of PVPer's wearing just shorts and shirts out there doing well, so I wonder what's the secret? Does anyone have any suggestions to that?
Thanks alot,

I use a mix of both. All my clothing is +melee defense/stun clothing. While this takes me way over the +25 cap on stun defense, it still nets me more melee defense.
I have an outfit I wear when fighting unarmored that consists of a shirt, pants, and bandoleer that each have +4 melee defense, +20 stun defense. That gives mea total bonus(including the caps) of +12 melee defense and +25 stun defense.
If I have to wear armor, I can still wear the shirt and bandoleer. So, I still get a +8 melee defense/+25 stun defense bonus on top of the armor.
This is useful to me since I only have TKA for a combat profession. If I was a defense stacker I would probably use bleed defense and/or warcry/intimidate clothing instead. Every little bit helps

Yea my set up is similar. I wear a stun helmet, stun chestplate, (protect against rifleman and fencers), a melee/stun defense shirt, and normally ubese for the rest. I need to buy a bandoleer and pants with defenseslike Utess. It works pretty well...the onlything that really gets me is a master rifleman or cm. Good luck!

I use bio clothing only. No armor for me. Not out of principle, but because it can be a pain to find buffs and because armor loses condition way too fast in this game.

while fighting most mid-low level mobs, armor is usually optional with a TKM, i found that no matter what, with high level mobs/npc's, if you don't put armor on, your gone (imagine fighting a GDK without armor... shudder).
I usually wear the following, and end up with these stacks:
80% + Kinetic Composite helm, chest, boots, gloves
Formfitting Undershirt, Two toned skirt, bandoleer.
This caps me on warcry & intimidate (+15 to shirt & bandoleer).
Still looking into what mod i want to put on my undershirt.
Without special circumstances, i have yet to die with any high level mob/npc wearing this configuration, and my intimidate sticks no matter what (never had it fail anyway).
