Meditate takes awhile. First you rid yourself of poisons and diseases. Then wounds etc. In a PvP situation its not going to do you any good. You won't have enough time to rid yourself of the effects. At least not till after the fight. Most of the time your enemies will not fight alone.
The benefit is you can power boost. Which will help out allot. Why waste your skill points when you can waste someone elses? Find a Doctor buddy to travel with you. I'd personally get the meditate tree for Force of Will and power boost. Both very useful in PvP and PvE. The ability to remove poisons and such are nice in PvE. If a nasty critter gets you after the battle you can shake it all off. I am not completely sure but if you are dizzy or have other states you might not be able to meditate.
Master brawler is the way to go. Intimidate 2 works wonders. Now the issue with Warcry is its fine if your in a 1 vs 1 type battle but useless if you have a group member. The 15m knockdown is nice too (lunge 2). So forget getting any ranged skills to help out. Land a dizzy on your enemy and then they can't burst run. As long as they are within 15m you can Lunge 1 or Lunge 2 them.
Find someone else to group with you. DON't waste your skill points make someone else waste theirs. Find a ranged profession doctor and attach yourself to them.

Warcry lasts 20 seconds. In 20 seconds you'll have some wounds gone and maybe you can shake off a disease or poison. But I wouldn't rely on it.
"The 15m knockdown is nice too (lunge 2)."
Lunge1 is 15m, Lunge2 is 20m.
I know because I take advantage of that constantly.

It wouldn't work anyway. You can't meditate while fighting. You could use meditate 4 to cure poison/disease/bleeding, and cure wounds AFTER the fight is over, but you can't while you're actually in the fight.

You make a macro:
/warcry;
/pause 1;
/peace;
So you stop fighting. No idea if you'd have time to meditate off poisons and such.

It takes more than /peace to end combat, your opponent needs to stop fighting too.

Yeah, won't work. It would be useful for powerboost and after fight bleed/poison stoppage though.

Assuming you can survive long enough for meditate to eliminate the poison. Too many CM's now. Never fails, first thing that happens is a mind poison. I usually wind up killing the CM, but die later from the poison before meditate can remove it. Then of course dying from the poison results in equipment decay, which is just another reason to completely HATE combat medics like I do....

Other than trying to use the Peace Command, most of the time you will have a Stun or Dizzy in Pvp which will also prevent you from Meditating. Just my 2 cents on the subject.
