I won't get a chance to log in for a couple of days (unfortunately), so if anyone else has any further information please report it here. I have not heard anything thus far though...

i will check it out shortly, though i would not be at all surprized by addition of some of the combat revamp with JTL.
no one, not even us unarmed folk, was ever meant to be able to spam specials.
i started noticing a VAST increase in my mind cost for my rifle specials with the very first JTL patch.
my guess is it is going to get MUCH more expensive on the HAM side for every profession to use specials...thusly making them 'special'
on the other part of your topic, may i ask why you are running Mokk and Janta missions armored? i don't bother with dancer/musician buffs (take too long to find and only last 2 hours at best). i just get a set of doc buffs (found at EVERY major star port and outpost) and run my missions unarmored. unarmed toughness is MORE than enough to keep you alive, and without all that armor your HAM cost (including mind) will only cost you a brandy every now and again. i play a zabrak, so i am not as privlaged as a human in the mind department, but even so popping a brandy and a canape if i get in trouble keeps me alive for my Mokk and Janta missions with no armor at all.
i will get back to you on the Mind cost issue in a short while.

Here's something odd after a little more testing. After the buffs faded I went back and got only the musician buffs, no dancer buffs this time. My HAM costs and regen went back to normal... I'm not sure how this works, but having a higher mind pool actually hindered me, I've never ran into a problem like that before. As long as my willpower and focus were considerably higher than my mind everthing seemed fine, but the moment I got the dancer's buffs to increase mind pool it started draining away like water in a leaky bucket. It only seems to do that when I've got the Musician and Dancer buffs both going. As long as Willpower and Focus are buffed, and not the Mind pool everything seems as it was. Strange that having a boosted Mind pool would actually hurt you instead of help you though...
I've heard other people talk about not wearing armor as a TKM... I have NEVER experienced a degree of safety fighting Janta and Mokks that led me to believe I could do it without armor. As a matter of fact last night I tried it, totally devoid of anything equipped except VKs. Those things were knocking chunks of my health away as big as 1/5 to as much as 1/4 a couple of times. And they were doing it fast. I'm also a Master Doctor so I buff myself at around 2.5 - 2.6k at all times, and I was blowing through the stims like crazy just to keep up with the damage they were doing to me. I was fighting 5 Jantas, using the standard tactic of running up to the lair and spin kicking, then as things draw near to attack I keep spin kick going until everyone falls. There was even one point where I was dizzy'd and knocked down, you can't heal while knocked down so I went from nearly 3/4 of health down to a barely noticeable amount of red left on the bar. It was only by extreme luck that I was able to stand up and get off one Stim-E heal instead of getting incapped right there on the spot. That was more than enough of a lesson learned about trying to play with high damage creatures like that armorless.
I generally run missions from my guild's city, on average there are 6 - 8 other TKMs also running around doing missions at any given time. I've never seen ANY of them doing the missions armorless, so I wouldn't think it's just me that sees a HUGE risk in fighting Jantas and Mokks without armor.
P.S. If it makes any difference, which I wouldn't think it should, I don't run a Center of Balance macro continuously while I'm fighting.

I would be since I played a TKM in the beta (thanks superfrogs!!!) and didn't notice any change at all.

Most definitely agree. There should not be any changes.

Anyone notice their mind pools draining dramatically faster since the patch this morning? I usually wear full composite (sliced) and use an unsliced VK, and have musician buffs going. With that setup for the past couple of months there was no way I could special my own mind pool down faster than it would rebuild. The only mind damage I took was when I got hits to that HAM pool.
Today however, I finished up the buffs and ran out, grabbed a mission and went back to the 'usual grind'. To my immediate shock though I did one round of spin kicks on a couple of Mokks (enough spin kicks to fill up the combat queue once), and my mind pool dropped to slightly below half! That's an insane amount of mind pool loss seeing as how just yesterday I was fighting Sith on Dathomir and special attacking with wild abandon without any risk to myself (except the bizarre damage those Sith do).
I did notice that normally the numbers above my head indicating the cost of doing a special run in the lower single digits (2, 3, or even 4pts), and today they were running anywhere from 12 to 22pts per special. The thing that has me perturbed is I havent' changed a single thing, bought nothing new, equipped nothing new, etc...
Anyone else notice anything like this?

With 2200 Mind, 1626 Willpower, and 1026 Focus, I wasn't using any mind for my specials. That was with 574 encumbrance on my armor.
With 3044 Mind, 2470 Willpower, and 1870 Focus, I wasn't using any mind for my specials. Armor still equipped.
With 3594 Mind, 2470 Willpower, and 1870 Focus, still not using any mind. Armor equipped.
With 3594 Mind, 4636 Willpower, and 4036 Focus, still not using any mind. Armor equipped.
With 4094 Mind, 5136 Willpower, and 4536 Focus, I'm still not using any mind. Armor equipped.
With 4094 Mind, 5710 Willpower, and 5110 Focus, I'm still not using any mind. Armor is unequiped.

i checked this tonight , i was buffed wearing Chest boots helmet and gloves , no musician buffs , just brandy & atrisha , but noticed no difference in the mind rate hunted on endor for 3 hours and my mind was fine the whole time , but the lag is terrible after this patch , but thet is the only thing i noticed
bear in mind you are wearing full comp too , i find ever with Janta mission i dont need full comp as it they die rather quickly

I don't know much about musicians, but is it possible for them to buff the mind pool in different numbers? As a doctor we can use either low grade medicine, high power medicine, bivoli, surgical droids with bonsues, etc... Is there something like that for Musicians/Dancers too? Perhaps I just got a low Willpower/Focus buff that night. I haven't noticed anymore trouble with the mind pool. And can't really find anyone else seeming to have a problem. I've been buffed by this musician/Dancer numerous times though and never had a problem with the mind pool going down so much, I always just figured a mind buff was a mind buff.

Why not? Do you know how pathetic combat would be if we couldn't "spam" our specials? Sit there auto attacking all day? LOL
