Hey, I am considering a few different template choices. If you could tell me what you think is the best choice out of these and why that would be very helpful. If you want to give me a few template suggestions I could use that as well. (Im going for something thats near impossible to kill, because I already know TKA is capable at dishing out damage if needed)

I have been MDoc/TKA for more than a year. At one time this was the best template but now there are better dependent on your wants. i see a lot of former TKAs also going for swordsman and pikeman to get all the specials back that were once TKA only. in mixing the template to get back the specials, i have seen that these are almost unbeatable.

Well my template is MD/MTK/MBrawler. The defensive capabilities of my character are incredible, and with the massive heals and heals over time available, I can stand toe to toe with pretty much anything by healing myself, making sure CoB is engaged and throwing the occasional punch LOL - but it is very much a group template. Alone I can take down up to about level 84 pretty easily, but it takes time... If you want to grind XP or do quick missions you need a group with a damage healer, preferably ranged, who can knock the thing out with some massive hits - I take a Smuggler and a Rifleman normally...

I have been incapped in equivalant level battle once since the CU - and that was because I made an elementary mistake (equipped my armoured boots instead of my normal ones which took away my innate armour) and was slain by a level 87 krayt once. The rest of the time I can almost see the looks on the faces of the group I'm with as im standing toe to toe with 4 or 5 level 80 mobs, and just taking the damage and laughing about it...

i have tried many templates the best one i have found is:

TKM/Mpike/doctor 4000

With this template om on par with jedi and and solo and tank like no tommorow as well as doing damage.
Putting 2 tanking profs in 1 template makes for an awsome tank without 4000 doctor though it sucks.

Remember adv bacta infuse is your friend...

Thanks for that info that pike template sounds good. What is that doc good for? what does it give you? I cant get in game right now to check. Is there a cu character builder i really want to use one!

Well doctor gives you many things bacta infuse is a must have when tanking tough mobs or in PvP it will save your life.

doctor gives you -very large heals, fast heals, healing over time i do about 200-220 a tick with bacta infuse and stabalizers say your in pvp with jedi and they choke or dot or various states you hit stabalizers and wham its gone.

You can buff yours or party member hps 300 more and heal party member wounds as well as using stabalizers on party members as well, because of this you become an ermergency backup healer , i have saved party member life many many times.

Without doctor solo ability is VERY limited.

If you want to be the best tank you can be doctor 4000 is a must.
