I realize that this doubles melee, ranged defense and counterattack, but does it also double your state defenses? in which case it IS worth using against high level PvE because you will see fewer dizzies and KDs? anyone know for sure whether it doubles ALL defensive mods?

I wasn't aware it doubled Melee/Ranged Def, as far as I knew it only affects Counterattack for Swords, increasing the number of times your primary defence mod triggers in combat.. I have CoB on when fighting Elders anyway, in case any lesser NS run up and have a pop while i'm busy with Missy Elder

having a CoB macro running while fighting elders or giant canyon krayts seems to be a big help, as i saw alot less Dizzys and KDs. even if i was KD'd i could usually pop up after one /stand and keep on fighting. the worst is when an elder lands a bleed on you and KD's you at the same time.

hi all,
just a quick question about cob. does it work only if you are armed with a melee weapon... or in tkm's case "unarmed" with an "unarmed weapon". so if i have a pistol armed i wont be able to use cob. thank you in advance for your help.

You've got it exactly right, you have to have a melee weapon equipped or just using your fists in order to use COB and Imp COB. Though if you prefer a ranged weapon one thing you can always do is put your weapon up on your hotbar right next to COB, unequip the ranged weapon when COB starts to fade, refresh and then re-equip your weapon again and keep going.

also remember. if you move durning power up. the cob will stop. important to remember if you are running a macro and chasing your target.
