My COB often falls off in the middle of combat, even with several instances of a macro running. Alot of times, I am simply standing still and it still skips out on me. Yesterday, I was with a fellow overt jedi and an overt ranged template. We had a run in with 3 Jedi and a non-jedi or two. The non-jedi were quickly dispatched. Considering our group, we not only held together for what seemed like an eternity, but had the Jedi running around in a near panic. Eventually, they all ganged on our Jedi, then the ranged guy fell pretty quickly.
So, it was me vs 3 Jedi. Complete template jedi, mind you. They couldn't kill me, as long as I had cob up. I could heal off what damage they did, and when I gotreally closeto death, simply dropped a synthsteak to allow time to heal. Nearly dropped one of them, he was channeling like crazy as I chased him around in circles while the other 2 Jedi pounded on me. During all this running, I suppose, is when I lost my COB. And ofcourse, COB being so sensitive, it simply would not stick again. So, after what must of been a 10min fightand I still had 50%+ mind and could have continued this battle, I eventually dropped because of my bloody COB. I love our ability to tank, but I am a bit disappointed sometimes when our whole defense rests on one special ability. Anyone else experience so much trouble with COB? And furthermore, with all the talk of a boost in Pub18, is COB getting a time extension? (to 1 minute maybe?)

I didn't see anything in the publish notes to indicate an extension.

This is a known bug that they have not fixed yet, cob wont stick even if you stand there for 3 mins mashing the cob button it won't stick till you attack another target in combat range or untarget them and try again.
I have had this happen many, many times.

yes, we are great tanks in pvp, but not without our COB.
The role of a tank is perfectly fine with me as TKM, but they really need to allow us to use our tanking abilities more easily, much like a damage dealer can acess their damage abilites with the push of a button.

COB should beable to apply while moving Jedi Defender can do it while moving, meditating, sitting etc.
Maybe put a penalty like not beable to attack while its charging up.
Activating COB while moving is a MUST.

Use an /alarm in your macro that alerts you when the macro is cycling. When I hear the alarm tone ring, I know I need to keep my ass still until the CoB fires up again. It also lets me know not to hit any other special's warm up that may effect the CoB from triggering/sticking. I even turn off my auto attack sometimes, as that will throw you out of sync as well.
Remember you can stack more than 2 specials at a time, so if the Macro is running you have to account for that.
thats a good idea, altho god knows if ill be able to hear a lil alarm over the guys in vent =P

You get an on-screen message as well.
I wish I could mute the alarm sound to be honest, it gets a tad annoying.

REMEMBER cob will not work if you are moving.
I also had a probem with my macro but if you seperate your pause eg... cob; pause 43; /tell (self) time almost up; pause 2; macro cob;
this seems to make my macro working and gives you a audio and visual signal to stop changing/moving and let cob run.
hope this helps.

Teras kasi defenitly needs to be able to useCoB while moving.Innate armor, and improved CoBis really the only speicial thing that teras kasi has. Having to pause while hiting CoB just gives ranged opponents a chance to get to back to their max range, and have an easier time kiteing us. Even if we had to wait a while before using any other ability, being able to use CoB while movingwould be a great addition to our profession.

The problem though, is not knowing to stop, but that even when you do, the server doesn't believe your client and keeps giving you the "thunk."
The client and server being out of synch is what causes this, and since that's never going to be completely fixable, they need to just let us do it while moving.
