Thread: BE clothing for TK?

I ran into some nice cheap BE clothing last night , each piece was adding about 16 uarmed dmg/ 16 terrain nego and others were 15 melee/ranged defense . My question is is there a cap how many pointswe can get from clothing ? I mean i could equip 4 pieces with 15 melee/ranged defence each, or 4 with unarmed/terrain nego , or mix and match.


Is it possible to get + 60 defence from clothing or +64 unarmed dmg , or is there a limit how much skill you can gain from BE clothes in this case? I know crafting skills have a limit on gains from attachments/clothes.

There's some debate on the cap, some say it's still +25 max and others say the full effect. However, it's impossible to find out at the moment as the melee/ranged defense BE clothing and the unarmed part on the unarmed damage/terrain negotiation BE clothing are broken.

As for the cap debate, I have yet to see anything but correspondants state that +25 was the cap. I have seen no hard evidence that they are wrong, although AFAIK no Dev has ever commented post-CU.

Cap is indeed +25 per skill for bio and SEA's.

The bio unarmed dmg mod is confirmed bugged.

Ranged/Mel def bio mods are rumored bugged, but haven't heard a dev comment. They definately seem to make no difference in my testing.

I have +25 unarmed damage from BE clothing and it doesn't work. Neither does + to speed.

I do the same damage whether my clothing is equipped or not.

(and this is for the clown that came into the last post and said: "ya but you can't have a weapon equipped for it to work") : It doesn't work if you have on knucklers. It doesn't work if you have on blasterfist. It doesn't work if you are fighting bare fisted.

FINAL ANSWER:

+ to unarmed speed/damage bio clothing doesn't work.






Indeed i was just reading this thread and decided to do some testing.

With my bando and undershirt on that go slightly above 25 (as we know the cap is still 25 on clothes), i hit for 600 on this lvl 40 mob. With the bando off and undershirt on i hit for 600, with the shirt off and bando on i hit for 600.

Unarmed Damage mods are broke.

I thought i'd test melee and ranged defense BE clothes aswel and i was getting hit for 40 with them on, took pants off left on jacket. Was being hit for 40, did the opposite and was being hit for 40.

In my testing melee and ranged defense dont work aswel. Anyone else know if this is true or should i test on lvl 80 mobs?

Melee defense/Ranged defense BE mods are broken, we don't really need a confirmation from the devs, just ask anyone that has them. Which of course makes me laugh every time I see people buying/selling them still on the trade boards.

DO u hunt on lok, because i think if you do then i gave you that wp. I am teifia capraen on bria. And i feel full efect of terrain negotian and as for the damage no idea.

As for the cap, reading some of the notes from the Faire, the devs stated that the cap is still +25, though that was balanced under the old system, and that they may look at adjusting that for life post-CU.
