1. Okay, lets say in theory you dabble in all melee classes some and are a tkm. Each melee class has a class specific toughness: 2 handed melee toughness, polearm toughness, etc. Now How do those stack up with Unarmed toughness or do they? Or is it only when wielding a weapon of that sort or ...... For that matter do those weapon specific toughness bonuses stack with melee defense? Or is toughness damage mitigcation and defense damage avoidance... hrmmmm....

2. combat equilibirum does what exactly? Never have noted a use in game of it.

Lastly, different melee classes have bonuses to certain defenses that are unique to their profession it seems.... block bonus, dodge bonus, etc. I can swear that I have seen those types of moves with just TKM. Does taht mean that they just work better or more frequently for other classes?

3. Anyway, been toying with how it all works and have these three curiousities that I was hoping someone coudl clarify for me. Thanks!

all of the modifiers from different weapons only work when using that particular weaopn. in other words, if you have +5 two-handed toughness, it does not add at all to your unarmed toughness total. the only time that +5 two-handed toughness ever comes into effect is if you are holding a 2-handed weapon. to further explain, a TK Master holding a pistol will not get any of his melee/unarmed defense modifiers and therefore will get the crap kicked out of him by a TK master holding a pair of VK's.

Hope this helped.

1) melee toughness does not stack

2) combat equalibrium helps with melee defense, and keeps you from getting KD'd or dizzyied (atm broken)

3) counter attack, block, dodge, work with the respective weapon type. We get combat equilibrium instead , although its broken. block works for riffles and some melee weapons, like dodge works for pistol and fencing i think. counter attack is sword.

4) only thing that stacks is melee and ranged defenses, and deffenses vs stun, dizzy, blind, intimidate, knock down. Range and melee defense effects the accuracy of whats hitting you. IE you dont get hit as often with effects, and things miss you more.

has not clearly been said, but i believe there is a cap on the effectiveness of defense. ranged/melee. there is a base chance somone has to hit you, and it wont go below that. so if you had like 100 ranged defense, and somone has 100 pistol acuracy, they will still hit you 8 out of 10 times
