Thread: So dizzy works on creatures now?
After stimming myself and killing one of the two bols attacking me, I decided to hit knockdown so I could get a breather. I had already debuffed the bol with everything I had (dizzy, stun, blind) so I hardly use knockdown because it just doesn't do much anymore. Well, turns out that once I knocked it down, it stayed down. I don't know if this was a bug or if dizzy is now designed to work on creatures.
I tested this further and took on three bols at once. I was able to dizzy and knockdown each of them with minimal damage to myself. I was able to finish off one when the other two started to get up. I'm not certain, but I think the dizzy wore off. I'm really hoping that this is intended. It was so much fun taking out those things without getting incaped 8 times.
I'll do further tests tonight and verify the dizzy being cleared when the thing stands up
DIzzy worked great for me and knockdown is really keeping the mobs down
The only problem I had today is that intimidate worked less than before. I tested it out several times. I did not have knockdown prior to the spam problems people were having with ranged attacks. Know since I have used it I believe it is a great asset and will use it more often. Seems like alot of people are complaining today and I have had my own problems ( other than intimidate). I am sure I will get flamed, but I think the devs are doing what they can to fix the bugs and I think they should be given on break on the complainants. Moral of the story is that all in all I think the patch is working, at least for me /shrug.
Thanks Devs looking forward to the next patch when you enchance/fix ALL of the professions.

I was exploring Dantooine today using my nifty new map. I picked up a mission for some 'easy' credits. My mission was a bol lair. Now I've never fought them before, so I had no clue if they assist or not. Well, they are quite social and I almost got incaped.

This is a bug that is being fixed tomorrow. The NPC AI is not getting up after a knockdown (even when it can).....enjoy it while it lasts :-)
Best part is it's not only mobs... but other peoples pets... hehehe.
I knocked down one of those big guerck (how ever it's spelled) things and it stayed down... for aloooong time, the owner was not happy.
If it is a bug that mobs are not getting up when they are suppossed to, then how long should they stay down? When I did knockdown today, not all but some of them got back up. Anyone know how long they are supposed to stay down? Hopefully they will stay down for 5 to 10 seconds, today they were staying down for 10 to20 seconds then getting back up.

well dizzy is suposed to be a dot, but perhaps its just really hard to program that into the game /shrug
how its suposed to work is this:
you dizzy , andyou dont even have to KD , every 20 seconds it ticks, and the target falls down , he is not suposed to be able to stand back up for 5 seconds, then he can stand back up and run around. how its working now is that you have to initiate a KD after a dizzy to get the dot to start working. then it ticks too sparatic. it keeps you down because the stand up timer and the tick timers are not properly aleigned or somthing.
basicly they stay down and can't get back up. you can see the diferance in timers by spaming /stand
sometimes though there is a bug and the dizzy stops ticking, letting the user stand up with dizzy, and not have to worry about falling over again.
Hmm...i'm not sure where you got that explanation of what dizzy does... I thought that dizzy was a state that you place on a victim, and when they try to change position or are lunged/knocked down, there's a chance that they fall down.
I'm sad, but this is obviously a bug. As a TK Master, anything that I could knockdown/dizzy, stayed down for minutes. I took down 7 snorbals, and just left them laying there. A few did get back up eventually, but the kusaks i fought simply stayed down.
Well, hopefully the dizzy chance was increased and we'll see some use out of knockdown2 when the bug is fixed.

While i have no evidence of this being false (though i personally believe you were misinformed) i will say this.. Even if it IS supposed to work as you said, "DOT" is a misnomer, as it still does no direct damage, and DOT, as you know, stands for damage over time..... Sorry, i don't mean to nitpick, but then again, i guess i do... ![]()

Ok if not DOT, how bout KDOT (Knockdown Over Time).
I've never ever seen dizzy work like that though. It's not even in the description when you mouse over that it works this way..would be great if it did though. As far as I know it's only use is as an enhancer to a posture changing debuff..knockdown, suppression fire andso on.
