Thread: Dizzy stacks
I hate to even mention this on the forums, but I feel like it is something that is possibly overpowered. If you use dizzy several times in a row, each application stacks. This means a KD followed by DIZZY, DIZZY, DIZZY ad infinitum = permanent KD.
This doesn't seem right to me. It would seem to violate the whole idea of the 30 second posture change/KD timer. Note, this really only applies to NPCs and PVP. For whatever reason creatures just don't get dizzy and fall down, nor do they stay down once they are dizzy.
This isn't a cry for nerf, just something I feel is being exploited. The solution may beto notallow the dizzy timer to be increased until the target stands back up again.
Are other people getting this as well? If so, I'll ask the devs whether it's a bug or "as intended". If they confirm it's a bug, I'll add it to the bug list.
It does depend on the situation...but if there is a BH or commando and I get within range...they are gonna hit the ground and stay down.. plain and simple. If you can't stay out of my range, you deserve to die....if you are smart you don't get jumped by a TK.
I hear what you are saying but quite frankly things like stopping shots, eye shot, and flame single 2 piss me off at times. I like calling KD 2 with maybe an extra dizzy or two ataste of their own medicine...if yer gonna kite me, kite me. If you aren't, you might as well just go prone and equip a rifle, cause your arse is grass... and I'm the lawnmower. ![]()
To answer your question Heavy, yes, Dizzy stacks. PvE and PvP. I use it often and yes, like the above poster stated, if they can keep running, I can keep dizzying. If I can reach them, the fight is as over as it we're on a grassy plain with no obstacles and the kiter can keep going for kilometers.
Also, just because you're in dizzy state and KD'd doesn't mean you cannot get up...it's true, just keep tyring to stand up and you will even with Dizzy on eventually. I've won plenty of duels because the person that could dizzy me from range (Carbs, BH's, Commandos) didn't have the power to finish me off through my armor while I lay there for 15-20 seconds before I was able to get up with dizzy and do the same to them.
Difference is...if we do it to someone...they do NOT get back up. Not with me. Not ever.
I basically agree that it doesn't really matter if dizzy stacks or not. The time span of one KD/Diz is more than enough time for me to finish off the vast majority of mobs that can be effected by that skill. And if you get a PC dizzy and KD's he's toast either way.
That being said, you guys are right. It's not really worth wasting the dev's time on this issue ![]()
No No its not permanant on npcs it totaly depends on what kind you fight, for example a mauler will go down and stay down were as a darktrooper will get up 80% of the time, but will stay down some times and the nightsister at a high level will just plain not take a dizzy, same for inmperial inquisitors won't take dizzy and resit 80% of kd.
Pc's are the same way
However dizzy might be stacking i do notice better luck in all situations if i dizzy then kd rather then just kd2, but it might also count as too falls this way one from KD and one from posture change / dizzy
I'd say its working as intended, but who know the devs might change it, if they do they might as well take Kd out of the game since it will then be only useful for ranged kiting melee by running KD every 30 sec repeat

Yeah but by the time you use 3 Dizzies..at least I noticed me at master I kill them with just the Damage alone from the move. Unless they are wearing the 800K Composite armor /sarcasm...then they get what they deserve for buying that crap and making armor cost more than Guild Halls ![]()
