Thread: Ok tell me again why Trandoshan's have mind limits for TKA?

The biggest deteriment for Dosh TKA's is lack of gloves, boots and a low mind pool.

Ok I'm thinking about this (not flaming or ranting here) but I see that a dosh can have a max mind pool of 1000 and a max willpower of 600. A Human can have a max of 1100 with 600 WP and a zabrak can have a max of 1000 with a WP of 900. Since most will probably put the zabrak's WP at the race minimum of 700 how is the Dosh limited with a small mind pool since it's right up there with Human's and Zabraks?

I'm making a TKA and want to have a good setup. I've got a dosh now because I thought the race bonuses would help and I actually like the old lizard but I also like zabrak's and human's so I'm deciding which race to be for the character.

Thanks.

Title sounds flaming so sorry about that.

I'll probably go zabrak anyway because I want to do other things and I intend to stay pretty buffed up. Since I'll be heavily buffed the extra WP could do me good. Plus I would look cool with a zabrak as well as a dosh and it's all about cool man.

Thanks for apologizing about the title. I was about to go off on why Trandoshan's can't have as high of mind as Zabraks or humans hehe.

I would say first go with what you think is the coolest looking/fun to be.

If you like using medicine, go for Zabrak. Better mind plus they look cool in any clothing while humans can look kinda fruity in some clothes. These are just my opinions.

Aside from the innate abilities which have their limited uses, zabraks also have the defense vs states which are potentially more useful than the unarmed bonuses that trans have.

Someone could just as easily ask why Human TKA's can't have the boosted secondaries that Dosh have.

Its really a trade off as far as Stats go. Dosh have enchanced health healing and take much less health while doing specials.

My stats on Health as a Human Master are 850/400/400. If I was a Dosha I would be at 1300/700/800 purely with the boost to health stats. I am not sure of the cap on Dosh mind points but I am aware Dosh are supposed to a slight boost to willpower, although that was just in a manual. I must say that if being dosh would have boosted my secondaries to the level of my primary without anyweaknessesI would have (as I'm sure many would have) picked dosh as human would offer no benefits.

Yeah big plus about the built in defense mods. Of course I'm so undecided i'll switch back and forth.

Right now I'm dosh 2-0-0-1 in brawler. but that's only with a few hours of solo play time.

If I re-roll now I lose practically nothing and I've got a friend to "mule" to hold my paltry 10K and my sliced VK's for me while I re-create my char.

Zabrak's looking good.

Well the mind pool argument comes into play with powerboost.

A higher mind pool = better power boost.

A big reason for me thinking about switching If you stay buffed (which I plan on) then it behooves you to build up the least buffable pool which is mind which means mon-cal or zabrak.

I like Zabrak, I tried playing a humand, but I think you can adjust more of the Zabraks stats to a larger degree than human.

I've never bothered with Trandoshan because I don't like the idea of not being able to wear stuff on my feet.
