Thread: Kiting Tactics vs Template
So I see this over and over again in this forum: 'I cant kill anything if I cant catch it...' with the reply of 'well use some tactics...'
The problem here is that the game is built around templates not tactics. While this levels the playing field for those that are not quite as quick on the mouse or strategic in mind, it detracts from the over all game experience.
A little realism would go a long way to balance the game...
I can shoot through mountains?
Rancors hang out in cantinas?
Everyone runs the same speed on level ground?
Pistols shoot as far as rifles? (where is my scope)
It is free to take a Rancor on a shuttle with you?
I can’t trip someone while running? but...
I can look where I am going and shoot at at someone behind me at the same time?
I am tough only when holding certain melee weapons?
And the radar... well.. it is just worthless care-bear junk that patronizes real PvPers. Enemies should NOT show up on a radar... unless this was granted with a special skill or something...
The fact is the game suffers from too much math and not enough real world. What I mean by this is that if the developers would just make the game more realistic it would naturally add balance, emersion, and strategy. Currently it is all about your template. That’s way too boring. Make it so we can be at least a little creative.
