I had an interesting exerience recently. I looted 6 Vibro Motors off of a Giant Krayt. Has anyone else ever seen this? I cant remember the stats but Ill be happy to look them up tonight and post if anyone is interested. I think they were +88 max (cant remember the min number right off).

I have never really played around with weaponsmith, would a +88 max vibro motor be really good?

Is this really true? If so, that is AWESOME! Best I have seen off of Nyms guys is +20, so that 4X what has been available so far. Can anyone else confirm/corroborate this story? If so, I'm going Krayt hunting!

...but I have never heard of them being dropped either before or after.

Im not so sure that I actually want to sell them at this point. I would kinda like to see how a couple turn out as finished products. Ill try and remember to take a screen shot and post it for all to see.

The best I ve seen is a +27 which made if not mistaken 180 dmg vks pre slice. Sliced the highest ive seen is 225 dmg.

+88 should make for Vk's over the the 250 dmg range. Boy how i wish you were in my server. Any chance you can show a picture of them.

Hope you didnt sell them for less than millions. Never seen or heard of such a thing, making you a very rich person.

Okay everyone here are the stats andthe screenshot I promised. The krayt dropped six of them all matching serial numbers and stats.

Stats:

Min: 39

Max: 88

Speed: -1.52

Wound: 5

Range: 13

Special costs: 3 / 3 / 3

Could not see the pic as anglefire has shut it down. But what I think you got there is a vibro unit, not a vibro unit enhancer. I can not get online right now to check the stats, but I will let you know if it is any good as soon as I can. I have seen meatlumps drop these things in the past and those sucked. But the fact that they drooped of a Krayt might just make thedm sonething special.

Yes they are "Vibro Units". (I wasnt aware there was a difference...sorry for the hype if they are just run of the mill)

...but like you say they were dropped from a Krayt so who knows. I certainly do not know if they are good or not. The Item is descripted as being "exceptional". Can any weaponsmiths out there help elaborate as to if they are better than average?

Thanks for the info guys. Im not really planning to sell them any time soon (even though I have had a couple of pretty good offers so far )

I feel very lucky to have looted them especially being a TKA.

I just want to see how they turn out as finished products. If I can find a good enough MWS (that I can trust ) Im gonna go ahead and see how a few turn out. Ill be sure to let yall know how it goes.

Can't vibro units be used in OTHER types of weapons as well? Maybe we should post this info on the other melee boards.
