Thread: The TKA Problem

So they have to build their whole template around defeating a skill that you get in one skill box?
I can't believe how many thousands billions time we'll have to tell them to NOT stand still on their feet and run and kite us instead of waitingfor the kick in the head... And that if we hide behind a wall or break line of sight to avoid their fire : the situation is a standstill and the winner will be the smartest of the two, whatever the profession...
We have almost no defense against kd, dizzy, stun or blimd ourselves. Much less than fencers or swordsmen. !@$%$ I was fighting a Gurneset and it put me on my back. That is one reason that I have posture change resist (down) added to my shirt.
Ya, I agree with Skillmasternevi and have had it also. I have mastered almost all combat professions except for commando and BH and TK is definately not the strongest nor does it do the most damage or have the most defense. It is just fun to play. Loved being a swordsman and mch also, but stayed with TK.
Think I will retire from the forums.

What about other brawlers? Should they kite you too?
I don't think its the ranged professions that have a problem, but he other melees. They pay the same points but have nowhere near as many tricks and abilities.
We're not even the only brawler profession with a knockdown. Heck someone with 1-handed 3 in the brawler tree can dizzy you and put you on your back with lunge 1. TKAs have terrible resist defenses, it's one of our weaknesses, the other is only being able to do kinetic damage and not having a bleed. People just need to be smarter when fighting a TKM instead of whining.
Wear some 70-80% kinetic resist armor.....that will be good for starters against a TKM. Then get better KD defense (this will help you against ALL of the many classes that have KDs). Then try going after a TKM. use tactics, and no whining on the boards is not a valid tactic against a TKM. (contrary to popular belief)
TKAs are not as all powerful as everyone makes them out to be.
