Just the other day i was hunting Malklocs (spelling?) on Dathomire, and every time i engage one in Melee it begins to kite me in melee, as in it moves a few feet away, just out of my "normal" melee attacks, but my special could still hit it. It could still attack me normally, and everytime i tried running closer it would move a few feet away. I had to resort to constand KD's in order to do real damage to it, but that ate my HAM up fast, and my killing efficiency on themission was reduced significantly.

This has happened before but it was with spineflaps, but that i could rationalize because they have a range attack, the mob would move away but then it used its "spit" attack, not a melee attack.

I just dont like being meleed, but not be able to attack back. Is there some sort of reach modifier that im missing kinda like in 3rd edition D&D. Also it wasn't that i was missing, the combat spam just said that i was too far away to attack, but i was still getting attacked.

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone find a fix for it?

I've never had this problem, although something that annoys me is when I'm fighting gaping spiders on dathomir. I'll get them down to their last 1000 or so HAM, then they'll turn around, stand there for a few seconds and then 'burst run' a few feet, stand there a few seconds, 'burst run' a few feet... the problem seems to be that while they're standing still I often get the "target out of range" message even when I'm toe to toe.

Well, Mylo my fellow TKA, you just showed all these idots who want to nerf TK's how to kill us. I do it to other TK's with my pistol line. Alot of mobs do it now, esp when you are taking on NPC mobs. When I go out factioning ST's run all over the **edit** place.
