What the best way to go if you only wanan do about half of TKA?

any suggestions?

Well, if your only doing two trees,do the power techniques tree of course, the speed and damage mods it gives is a must. And the other tree you want to do is up to you, balance conditioning is good for PvP, with knockdown and defense mods, and meditation tree is good for, well, anything, powerbost and force of will can be used for anything. Also, if you can't decide, you could go 2-1-4-0, and that'd give you powerboost and the knockdown.

What other skills are you planning on investing in? This can be kind of important since the power tree is nothing more than speed and damage. I would suggest reviewing your other skills and then seeing what exactly you want from TKA to complement them.

In my case I am a Master Combat Medic and was trying to decide where to spend the points in TKA. I could only master 3 of the 4 trees. I was told by every TKA to go 4440. I chose 4404 because those skills complemented CM very well for the defenses, meditation and specials. I mainly rely on my poisons and diseases to do the damage but I still like to use KD2 and warcry to make them more effective. Nothing like watching your foe flop like a fish while their body and mind is rotting away.

So if you have chosen another class that does decent damage, you may be better off in investing points in TKA to the other trees. The balance tree is imho the most important tree since it provides you with mitigation to melee damage and KD2.

I would advise trying a different proffesion if your only looking for 2 trees of something to use. Swordsman,Rifleman, & pistoleer, 1st come to mind.

TKA isnt a proffesion for dabblers.

Are you kidding?

The meditation line is the best set of complementary skills in the game. With just the huge boost in poweryou get from Novice, you can easily level yourself to 4/0/0/0 by getting buffed and running savage quenker missions on Dant.

As long as defenses stack, 4/3/0/4 is agood addition to any combat template.

If TK wasn't for dabblers than half of my guild wouldn't be training in unarmed skills right now...

I believe that the Meditate tree was supposed to be The TKA's unique skill... it would be best if the Devs had made it so that each proff had a unique skill that was closed to dabblers.
