If the Dev's change damage mitigationso that it onlyworks with the weapon you had it granted for for example ranged damage mitigation 3 from master pistoleer only works with a pistol then this question is totally useless and can be ignored once this change is confirmed (assuming this change is happening and I am only speculating that this might be counted as "stacking").

Anyways for those of you who don't have ranged mitigation are you still effective in PvP (you are'nt getting one-or-two-shotted by every ranged weapon wielder) and a little bit of PvE with some nightsisters and stormies? The reason I am asking is because I have been really enjoying melee of late and have been thinking of adventually going all melee (probably Master TKA, Master Pikeman, Master Brawler with a few skills in swordsman and medic). I probably won't be fighting in incredibly open area's (Ancorhead, Bestine, the interior of a base etc.).

That might not have made too much sense so in case you did'nt understand it just answer this please "Can you still be effective in PvP and PvE (mostly nightsisters and NPC stormies) without ranged damage mitigation?"
