Thread: Disarm as a new TK skill

Well, I think it would make sense for a TKA to be able to disarm their oponents. There are so many techniques in martial arts to disarm your oponent. Granted the technique would only put your enemies item back into their inventory, but now that there is a delay when you try to equip something it would be a useful advantage for a TK, considering they have only the VK as a weapon. You could even make it so that the skill only works unarmed, without even a VK equipped. This would be a unique skill for TK and would really set it apart more from the other melee professions, it would also take away some of the ranged professions annoying "run away so I can't freakin catch you while you shoot me" tactics. Also, I think all melee professions should get a slight bonus to their run speed while in combat, in some PvP situations right now it's possible for a ranged character to simply run away while shooting and melee professions can't catch them.

I agree myself, but remember marksman arent just gonna sit there and let you kill them, if we do get disarm so that we dotn have a bunch of cry babies cry abotu how powerful it is or hjow much of an advantage it gives us it has to have the same "to hit" chance as kd 2.

I could probally see a disarm attack that works like pistoleer's disarming shot. In that it attacks the weapon's condition. Although, as it is now, thats a pretty useless special and therefore a TKA version of it wouldn't be all that worthwhile either.

I like the idea, I suggested it in that one thread about what you want to see as far as new moves and so on. Your opponent can always equip the weapon again, this will just give us some time to lay down more of an effect, don't make it useless like the pistoleer disarming shot or like KD.

we dont really need one tho. Any good tkm can hold his own the way it is really. Plus everyone would be screaming NERF!!!

I have advocated the Disarm technique for as long as I've been TK. Besides, how would a TKM likely take down a Jedi? By taking away one of his primary weapons--his light-sabre. If the Teras Kasi are supposed to be "guardians" of the Jedi, it seems a logical ability.

A very good suggestion IMO. I really like the idea of being able to disarm.

I like this idea too. Though after the first disarming all of the galaxies will scream nerf. Even though it makes perfect logical sense. Why keep attacking someone with a weapon when you can disarm them to put them at a disadvantage to ensure you win the fight.

Good idea but i think it should only be possible if you DO NOT have a vibroknuckle equipped.
