Is TKA the best profession for PVP or is it something else _say fencer,swordsman,etc.

Right now its Fencer, paired with TKA or Swordsman or some other profession/s. TKA is still valuable, but its got problems that will hopefully be addressed with the combat balance.

TKA alone is useless in PvP. Along with Fencer it is much better, but you will die very quickly against combat medics, or people with high stun/Kinetic resistant armor. Some TKA/Rifles/combatmedic is the best (and cheapest) pvp thing. you can beat anyone with that template. Very unbalanced.

im going to say what i always say. a tka that knows what he is doing can beat a fencer any day. a tka that knows what he is diong can beat almost anybody. the sad thing is 90% of tkas dont know what they are doing.

I think the sad thing is that the 10% that do know what they are doing cant touch anyone with composite armor =) In unarmored Duels with no posions i have beaten over 300 people and I am undefeated, so, Obviously i know what i'm doing. But in PvP it doesnt matter weather you know or not because the armor (mainly) is just to powerful. and, tell me, how in fact can a TKM beat a M. Fencer when the fencer has 90% resistand Kinetic armor... and the TKM doesnt have stun armor or only has 30% resitand stun armor..... ???
You really werent using your head when you made that comment thata TK that knows what he/SHE is doing can take anything out.
In an unarmored, Unbuffed, Un mod enhanced, Un posioning Duel that is very true.... But otherwise, its not.

you have officially placed yourself in the 90% group. you dont know what you are doing if you go into fights without 36-40% stun 80-90% base comp armor and 46%+ stun PSG. Add synthsteak to that and theres another 40-45% resistance against their attacks. if they are intimidated thats that much more damage not being done. Add in your unarmed toughness and you are one hell of a sponge. you absorb almost all hits from anything with AP0 and does stun damage (stun batons and geo pistols). now to wear this you will need buffs of course so when they do their 10-20 damage with their stun batons you regen it way before you are hit again.

Against poisoners, using allof that is abig waiste of credits, because they still incap you in secondsand yes, i do all of that, and yes Rifle people have still beaten me. =) And whats the reason for all this armor, modifiers, buffs and all that.... Is that all there simply to fix the problem of underpowerment and uneffectivenessin some professoins?

do that to get the upper hand. like you said unarmored unbuffed we win easy, but if we equip right we can beat people that are buffed and armored as well.

) When you go into PvP you need to know your enemy, and yourself. If you don't have doctor, dancer, musician, brandy, synthsteak and thaktillo(or whatever food you like) buffs, a full stun suit and PSG, your going to die very quickly.
Except CM's. They kill everyone. Thank god for this nerf. I just hope it's enough. And while we're on why, why don't we have gas masks against CM's? I've got a set of vibrating brass knuckles, but no gas mask. /ponder

haha thanks im glad you see it my way. personally though i kinda like having some people that dont quite get it. more people that say we suck the less chance we have of getting nerfed
