Thread: Dizzy or Knockdown?
Now I know what you're thinking. The obvious answer is BOTH! But I'm new to TKA (picked up novice yesterday) and was wondering which I should get first. I've been told Dizzy first, but my gut seems to say Knockdown. Is there something I don't realize about Dizzy?
Thanks for the advice
I recommend "Dizzy" via Power Techniques 1. This way you'll have more power and speed. "UnarmedDizzy1" combined with "UnarmedLunge1" will cause most NPCs to fall over due to posture change, much like "UnarmedKnockdown1".
It's "Dizzy" that keeps your target down, so without it the target will be up in a few seconds via "UnarmedKnockdown1" alone.

What are you killing for exp that you can get 140000 unarmed xp in 15 seconds?
Get Knockdown.
Go to Dantooine.
Get Buffed.
Run Picket missions
Use Knockdown + warcry
One hour later get Dizzy.

right now I'm 0/1/4/3. My standard attack is Dizzy - KD - UAHit 2 (spam).
If I remember right, dizzy slows down reaction time and forces psoture change easier (correct if wrong please).
The beauty of Dizzy + KD is that they STAY DOWN. Night Sisters, Dark Troopers... they don't get back up very often. Pop them with Dizzy + KD (VK's equipped), then justkeep hitting with UAHit 2 (no VK's). XP will nearly double with a good set of VKs...but the HAM costs can bite you in the arse.
This technique earned me 387000 unarmed xp in one day (man, I never thought I'd ever be able to post something like that!)...
I suggest getting KD first (btw - 1.5X damage while KD'd)... then all the way up the Power line (more power = more damage = more XP). If you want Dizzy, use some sonic pulse traps (on critters) until you get it.
Good luck...
But why is it that you use warcry on monsters and dizzy on NPCs?
Also, what about knockdown2? Do you even need dizzy or warcry, since it has dizzy built in?

Because KD + dizzy tends to keep NPCs down forever... they stay down, so you can kill them at your leisure with zero risk to yourself. Critters pop right back up from KD + Dizzy. Now KD + warcry will cause the critter to stay down for 10 seconds (20 seconds with warcry 2) giving you plenty of opportunity to spam UH2. KD + warcry will work on NPCs as well, KD + dizzy is simply more effective (and great for handling groups of NPCs since you can KD + dizzy them all and then finisheach oneoff).

The problem is that the dizzy and KD are resisted separately. So you might get KD only or you might get dizzy only. Dizzy only isn't so bad (as you can then you KD1), but knockdown only is a problem, because they may get back up before you get a dizzy to stick.
