Finally hit novice tka yesterday I was doing savage quenks and pikets w/ a friend to grind to novice tka. Took as a while but when fighting together w/ buffs and a set of 80% kinetic comp.... its not that bad.

Anyways, I'm also a commando ( 0 0 3 0), and everytime I get tough mobs on me, I ALWAYS switch to flamer, and hit them for 5-6k... No more.

I had enough combat xp so when I got novice tka I was qualified for precision I (Unarmed body hit) So, I decided to take quenker missions, to grind to power one. I'm also a ch 2 2 2 3, so I always have a graul out in case I'm in trouble. To my GREAT surprise I was barely missiong, doing decend dodges/counterattacks (never happened w/ any ranged profession I tried) And was hitting pretty sweet dmg for 350 and w/ specials around 1.5k. Very sweet.

So on my way back to MO I saw some bolls attack a small savage quenker. I help them kill it, and get around 1k or so xp. Then out of nowhere, a relic is after me. First thing that came on my mind: F8 F8 F8 F8 F8 (FT lol) But another part of me told me, no, lets see how good TKA is at 0 0 0 1. I start hitting, doing around 200 dmg... not bad, attacks got me around 600-700. I look at combat log. It looked something like this:

''You use rancor smash (or w/e its called lol) and hit for 647 dmg!''

''A relic quenker swings at you, and misses!''

''You hit for 267 dmg''

''A relic quenker swings at you, and hits for 200 points of dmg''

''You blah blah blah composite blocked 149 dmg''

''A relic quenker swings at you, but you dodge!''

'' A relic quenker swings at you, but you counter attack!''

Thats how it was for the first minute or so. I was surprised I wasnt lying flat on the ground dead... The quenk had 10k HAM when we started, after 1 min he was almost dead. Then what do I see? ANOTHER RELIC, and then what? ANOTHER. 3 relics are surrounding me, and just to add to the fun, a voritor came in lol. 4 mobs at me. I'm tka 0 0 0 1. Every nerve in my body tells me F8 then spam flamecone and fry their asses. But little hope remained, I kept my VK equipped. Soon the first relic fell, I spammed ''unarmed spin attack 1'' most of the time... Soon, another relic fell, followed shortly by another one of his friends. The voritor is all that remains. OH NO!! My brandy went poof. I spammed a few specials but I saw it ate my mind. I was oh no, bye bye adventure, hello cloning center. But no. I /centerofbeing for some magical reason lol. I survived. W/ practically no pool stats left, the voritor ran away when he saw he was losing. Chased him, and kill him. Wasn't long until I was qualified for power 1, unarmed stun, very sweet.

I was very surprised.... VERY. I had no idea, that a novice profession can be so strong. 3 relics, one voritor, going at me at the same time, and I survived. It wasn't that way w/ any other profession I had. I decided to drop bh, and when I get strong enough in TKA I'll drop commando aswell. Going to master tka, master brawler, then master fencer, w/ just enough SP left for pharm 4 w/ medic.

I love this profession so very much. At novice I was able to fight off something I could have not done w/ any other profession (at novice of course) Long live TKA... Now just to stat migrate everything to mind lol.

Yes, it is a big jump from lvl 4 unarmed to tk novice. I was actually surprised by the difference.
