Thread: The grind to Novice TK

Hey guys I am on the infamous grind to Novice TK. I picked up a speed sliced VK (as I believe I read was the right thing to do) now I am wondering what I should be hunting to get through this grind so I can start the fun of TK. I play on Dant a lot but I can barely touch Janta's and such. So is it back to the poor Quenkers? Can I effectively damage them or do I need to go for lesser prey? Thanks in advance for any info!

I say do quenkers they are easy and provide good exp.

Quenkers are good,but I went to Lok and put Gurks on the endargered species list to get TKN and most of the xp for TKM too.Be advised it takes a long,long time to kill them with unarmed 4but the xp per lair is about 30k.Just throwing that out as an option.

Just pick up a suit of Ubese, a set of Doctor buffs, some brandy, a solo-group, Quenker missions, and off you go.

If you get sick of quenkers my roommate and I did huurton huntress' good xp there too. just get some good kinetic armor get your self buffed and write a berzerk macro

Set of good kinetic ubese, doc buffs, brandy, canapes, ahrisa, and a set of speed sliced 1.6 vk. I went from Unarmed 4 to novice TKA in one buff. At around 20k a lair(if you get the good ones where each quenker gives 3100 xp) you can usually do about 12-14 lairs and get to novice.


It saddens me that when I did Rifleman it took me forever but grinding TK can really be done in just a couple of days. At 0-0-4-4 I am doing piket lairs fast and with tons of xp. Not to mention making good money for 10k a lair. At the same level of Rifleman I would be dead within minutes due to constant missing. Hmmmm :/


Edit: Tho, I did still have Master Rifleman as I went thru so perhaps some of my defenses stacked a bit. Not sure how it works.

TKM took me 1 day Master rifle Took 3 days

Any set of armor / Doc buffs

Go to Dantooine

Do lesser plains bols till Unarmed 3

Then do Regular quenkers

Then for 4/TKN do Savage Quenkers

Will take about 2-5hrs depending on how fast u are

I didn't think you could use the VK until you hit Novie TK. Thats why I haven't bought one yet. I am working on the 4th tree of unarmed. Am I looking at this profession all wrong?

you won't be able to use the damage...but you could use the speed...get it sliced to 1.6 or under

Thanks for the info. Next time I log on that's going to be the first thing I do. Go buy a VK.

Thanks for the responses guys. I stuck to trusty ol' quenkers and I made Saturday night. Man was there a drastic difference at that point. Looks like this is a fun prof!
