Thread: can a tka solo a kryat?

If your template can handle 6 level 81-82 Nightsisters or 2 level 88 Black suns, surely you should be able to hold up to a single level 85 or even 90 Krayt. I tanked 2 level 82 Krayts, bunch of nightsisters and 2 Black Sun henchmen/assasin this morning for fun.

Pre-Cu it was EASY or at least easier but havent tried it post-cu

ive solod necro 4 times, i can assure u that with the right gameplay and knowlege u can solo a ancient easy

I do on a regular basis hell I tanked lvl 88 dark adept's and a lvl 113 dark jedi master once. It's all in how you use what you got. TKM/MasterDoc/Swords1003 and the right food= Tank from hell

I would really like see see how that is even possible, considering necro hits me for 1400 each hit, not doubting just really wondering how the hell you managed it

Just finished my new template, and just started to do some playing around with it, seeing what was possible.
Its TKM, Swords0444, Doc4014. Have a +18 HE shirt and some ADKd Katarn Knucklers.
Easily tanked 9 or 10 lvl82 pikets while my last grinding group (was doc4003 at the time) were XPing. All I did was taunt, area taunt, and heal myself when necessery.
Went out to tattooine, and hunted some krayts. Found a wild spawn with a juvi and regular (think it was canyon, round cl86). Tanking them at the same time, I was able to kill the juvi, but mind ran out and I had to bolt before finishing the canyon. Came back few mins later, and soloed the canyon.
Went to the graveyard, and found some more levels of krayts. Buffed to the hilt, was able to solo a lvl90 one (forgetting the name now). Joined a group of a couple other ranged guys, and we 3 killed an ancient (cl94) in about a minute with me tanking it. Not sure I could solo a CL94 ancient with my template. I could tank it for a while definitely, but not sure I could do enough dmg fast enough by myself to kill it before my mind gave out, even with full mind buffs (accaragm/wonwon, booster, serotonin doc buff). Maybe with a mind crystal, but I don't have one.
Tonight, I'm headed out to Dath and see how I do on Da Sistahs. I may go back to Tatt tonight and try an ancient solo, this time adding some synth or wafers to my belly to mitigate dmg. Bufflist I normally roll with is...

This gets my health pool up close to 5k, lets me hit very close to once per second, and gives me a great mind regen for heals. With some synthsteak, I may be able to last a bit longer against an ancient, but still not sure I'd get him corpsed fast enough.
