Is it necessary for a TKA to wear armor? I thought about becoming one, but if I have to wear armor than I won't, because I hate how all the armor looks in this game.

i guess it depends on who you ask...some like the defense and don't mind the costs..some do. i will say this tho...don't bother with bone armour. not blocking kinetics blows for mobs (bone only works on energy). i have chitin and i would say, so far, it reduces the damage you take but perhaps not enough to justify the costs to HAM and $$. it might look kewl, but effectiveness is what's important. i haven't used ubesian armour yet so i don't know but it looks kewl too.my toosense wurth.

How necessary is armor?
I just repesc'd from MBH/MRM/Medic to MasterSword/Doc4-0-0-4/TKA 0-4-1-3.
If I want to use armor what is the best for this template?
Any suggetions on my template would be aappreciated.

Get some 6500 energy/kinetic 5000 special armor, and if possible get it 75% armor break reduction sliced and adk'd.

Also unless you master tk, I would always wear armor. TKM has innate armor equivalent to 6000 protection down the line.

For PvE it's not necessary. FYI, currently I'm CL73 Master Doc and Swordsman 3-4-4-3 and I can solo 3 even cons without armor, and the weapon I'm using isn't that great - I'm still using a vibro axe. But I would use armor if I was going to do a difficult quest or PvP.

What fronyy said, 75% AB reduction armor makes a huge difference.
