Thread: TKA content

Lets get a good thread going about some content that wed like to see for TKA. Some popular suggestions that have come up before are the "TKA Grandmaster" profession, and specific TKA missions that would let us hunt NPC rogue Jedi.

So lets talk about those things and other ideas that we can come up with for some TKA content.

The TKA Grandmaster sounds like an interesting idea, but what would it include? Would it be like the Jedi system where you would need to spend all your skill points to gain this profession? I personally think it should. Any "elite-elite" profession should take all your skill points to attain. It gives the feeling of "a lifetime achievement" something that youve devoted your every fiber to getting.

What kind of bonuses would you get from this? I dont want to talk in terms of damage because I dont know whats going to happen in the combat balance. Maybe some more specific pool attacks? Unarmed Leg Hit2, Unarmed Mind Hit2, etc... Perhaps a bleed also. I was thinking that since TKA are supposed to be Jedi hunters, we could get a pool attack/bleed that specifically targeted a Jedi's Force pool. Meditate should also play a bigger role. Healing BF, or maybe entering a meditative state. This state would provide bonuses similar to the way CoB does, but with things like attack speed, or unarmed damage. Such a powerful meditative buff however would have to come at a cost though. Due to meditating so intensely we would suffer a downer similar to a spice downer, where our attack speed, unarmed damage, and other various mods are hindered for a certain amount of time. Perhaps a 10 minute boost, with a 5 minute downer. That would prevent re-use abuse.

Now theres the suggestion about Jedi hunting missions. I dont think the Devs will give us player missions because that would cause too much whining from the Bounty Hunters. But perhaps NPC missions where Rogue Jedi have been spotted abusing their force powers. Something like that could be set up similar to the BH investigation missions. This would give us the feel of what we are supposed to be. We could even merge this with the Grandmaster idea. Devote a whole tree to this. The higher you are on that skill, the harder the missions, until eventually youre hunting down NPC Jedi that you have only a 50/50 chance of killing. You could have things like multiple NPC Jedi, rogue Dark Jedi, rogue Light Jedi.

Anything else you guys would like to add to this? Any ideas for content that you have of your own? Lets get working together on this so we could present this to the Dev's. I think our goal should be to get a publish devoted entirely to the TKA profession.

TKA are not Jedi Hunters. TKA are suppose to observe Jedi. Bounty Hunters are Jedi Hunters.

well the "elite-elite" profession thign is nice except if we did have that everyone else would piss and moan because they would want the same thing.. they would have to do that for ALL professions in order for that to be fair in anyway...



PERSONALLY what i would like to see is a tree that has many many branches that lets you boost certain stats for your character... such as HP and action and stuff like that... =/

TKA are not Jedi Hunters. TKA are suppose to observe Jedi. Bounty Hunters are Jedi Hunters.

TKA were created to make sure the Jedi did not get too powerful. When they did the TKA would hunt down the Jedi as stated in the EU.

As for every class moaning and complaining about an "elite-elite" profession theyre more than welcome to do it. If the TKA community is working hard to present the Devs with a plausable case that could work then perhaps we deserve some changes. Every class should get their own publish dedicated to them as long as the community worked hard to make it believable, fit in with the continuity, and keep the game balanced.

Be constructive, not counter-productive.

Where does this "TKA are not Jedi Hunters. TKA are suppose to observe Jedi. Bounty Hunters are Jedi Hunters." you speak of come from, then? If the Teras Kasi Order hunted down Jedi when they abused their powers, doesn't this make them Jedi hunters?


Personally, I think every profession needs to be made what they really are, and the stronger the profession, the more skill points it should require thus basing professions skill points off the power they are given,that way you don't have combos. Teras Kasi/Rifleman, Pistoleer/Fencer, Carbineer/Swordsman, etc. Every profession should be given a unique roll as well.

I do like the idea of having something go beyond the TKM profession to a "Grandmaster" level, so to speak, and I also like the idea of the Teras Kasi some how tieing in withtheir role with the jedi. And, not to copy the jedi robe resist, TK is a martial art, and with that being said, you don't usually see martial artists running around in armor either do you? Maybe a special kind of clothing or w/e awarded at a high level or something, idk just a suggestion. Just throwin out some ideas, can't really think of anything else right now.
